Turning on her heel, she could see atop of the treehouse, a boy with wild blonde hair was waving to her. "Hey, Sora," she yelled to her, "Can ya come up here for a minute? I got somethin' to ask!"
Shrugging, she nodded, and called back, "Sure! Be up in a sec!"
Sora ran up the dock, and then made her way up a latter, and then she was there. For some reason the Tidus seemed rather nervous, she could not place why. Although Tidus and her went way back, they weren't the closest of friends; however, they have got each other out of plenty of jams.
"What is it?" Sora finally asked.
Shaking his head some, Tidus looked like he had forgotten that he had asked her up here. He laughed awkwardly, and then sputtered, "Oh, j-just wanted to know how the raft project goes."
Sora could sense that this was not the true reason, but shrugged, and answered, "It goes good. We should be able to set off tomorrow." She looked taken aback for a moment, and then added, "That reminds me, Kairi is probably waiting for me right now."
Not seeming to have heard the last part, Tidus blurted, "T-Tomorrow!? That soon? I-I... Well... I'll miss you..."
She tilted her head, and then repeated, "Miss me? Really? I'm touched, Tidus." She turned, and then waved back at him. "I'll see ya later. Kairi must be getting impatient by now." Then she ran off.
Selphie walked up behind Tidus, which startled him a little. She giggled, and said cutely, "Ohhhh! Does Tidus have a wittle crushy on Sora?"
Pulling away, Tidus yelled, "S-Shut up!" And then he stormed away.
Meanwhile, Sora is running across the beach toward a makeshift barriade. She hoped that Kairi didn't mind that slight wait. It wasn't like she wouldn't gather the supplies in time. It was still the early afternoon afterall.
