Tabula Rasa: Given Missions [Episode 109111]

by Kender

Having been given assignments, none of the girls was willing to wait upon them. They had no reason to, as the wipes had taken pretty much all of their previous interests. So there was little reason for delay, though some did have more to do than others as the group separated up for their assigned tasks.

"We will need outfits that will be appealing on our forms," Venus told Pluto as they stood off to one side. "Skirts and heels do seem to be a possibility."

Pluto simply looked back at her as she spoke. "Yes, such clothing would make us look better, but we will also need clothing that will be functional. It would not do for manual labor to be done in stockings."

"True. The two can be combined, but we should have at least one or two outfits for one or the other."

"Just remember to get other materials that I can use," Neptune put in, "I will need the proper equipment to maximize each unit's appearance."

"Understood."

"At most three outfits will be needed to be procured for each unit, if at all possible," Pluto said.

"That would be with in acceptable limits," Neptune agreed.

"Then let us get started."

Uranus went into the garage and looked at the vehicle which had been assigned to her unit. Its appearence had seen better days, as it was showing many dings and dents, yet that was not the most important. The ability it had to take a lot of stress would be good, but the performance it had would not. For mission success, and unit safety, it would have to be upgraded, and there was no reason for delay.

She got it open and popped the hood to begin the neccessary work. The engine was still in good enough shape, even if it wasn't up to standard. There would be plenty of room to rectify that situation, and she started on it immediately.

Not that she would have come up with another choice. Her commander had given her orders, and she was to do them. It was her place to follow the instructions, and do whatever tasks she had. Though it did seem that he was not quite as... comfortable with that fact as she was at the moment. He seemed to wish them to not simply wait for him to give orders as well, and wanted their input.

She didn't have a problem with that, as her programming told her that she was to act as he wished of her. If he wanted her to offer suggestions, she would. In the mean time, she had an assigned task to complete.

Genma darted from cover to cover, doing his best to try to avoid any sensors. If he got picked up on a sensor, then he'd have to deal with drones being sent in his direction. That would mean that he'd have to get away from them, and if he couldn't he would have to fight. And though he could defeat them, he'd prefer to do what he'd come there for, and not give the Machine a chance to send a flood of units at him.

Not that it seemed to have much looking good about it. The market area was a burned out area now, with signs of firethrowers being sent into now blackened stall interiors. Windows were broken in every building, trees were scarred, and property walls had large holes within them. Which didn't bring in the fact that there were some spots where he could see eternal screams.

Sighing to himself, he hoped that this was not all for not, and that he could do what he'd set out to. He had to make certain that he could do what he could, and that meant finding the individuals that he was looking for. If nothing else, he could give them the proper rest that they would need.

Crouching within a yard, he peered out around it through the hole in it and looked down the street. What he saw made him stop and look, frowning in thought. He knew that he would have to act on this quickly, for he was currently looking at:
