The nine quickly dressed, for which Ranma was quite grateful.
"Y'all have different skills right? I understand y'all were programmed with lots of stuff so ya could infiltrate society - so what're you good at? Starting with you," asked Ranma.
"I have a fairly extensive database and a number of skills related to math and the sciences including medical knowledge," said Mercury. "My role was to be the Smart Girl."
"I have knowledge of Japanese modern culture and physical appearance enhancement," said Venus. "I am also familiar with several vehicles and their operation. I was to be the Modern Hip Girl."
"I have detailed information on the Japanese city system, vehicle operation, and seduction techniques," said Earth. "My role was to be the Ingenue."
"I have knowledge of the maintenance and operation of Shinto shrines," said Mars. "I am also familiar with many aspects of modern Japanese society and historical sites. I have a database of over one hundred explosive devices - their creation and use. I was intended as the Pure Shrine Maiden."
"My database includes traditional female skills," said Jupiter. "Cooking, cleaning, care. Hand to hand combat, martial arts style tiger style kung fu. I was intended to be utilized in either a Traditional Girl or Tough Tomboy mode, whichever would allow better infiltration of a survivor group."
"Equipment development, basic research, basic hand to hand fighting skills," said Saturn. "I was intended as the Young Damsel In Distress."
"Song, dance, high culture, and various art forms. I was intended as the Sophisticate," said Neptune. "I also have an extensive database on clothing, appearance enhancement, sexual techniques, and some vehicle and weapons operations."
"Martial arts style - kempo," said Uranus. "A wide range of vehicle operations and maintenance. I was intended as the Tomboy. I also have a fair number of skills in the seduction of females."
Ranma stared for a moment as he tried to process that before turning his attention to the last member of the group.
"I have a wide database of skills in order to accomplish my primary mission," said Pluto. "Martial arts style - judo. Martial arts style - ninjitsu. Use of many weapons systems and vehicle operations. Cooking, cleaning, sewing, household maintenance."
Ranma listened to the various things and made a quick decision as to 'duties' based on that. Going up to a whiteboard he chose the left side and wrote down names, then set up 'jobs' for each. It'd keep them busy and out of his hair. "Okay. Here's yer assignments."
Pluto - Laundry.
Uranus - Maintain vehicle.
Neptune - Cleaning.
Saturn - Cleaning.
Jupiter - Cooking.
Mars - Weapons Maintenance.
Earth - Cleaning.
Venus - Cleaning.
Mercury - Field Repairs.
"How's that?" asked Ranma, not really expecting an answer.
"Maintenance of physical appearance is not allocated," pointed out Neptune.
Ranma was about to state the lack of need for it, but realized that the girl had just volunteered information. He needed to encourage them to rejoin the human race, and weren't girls always going on about their appearance? Though admittedly he didn't know too terribly many prior to Judgement Day and he only had boys' gossip for much of his information. "Sure. I'll just change yours to that."
"More outfits than the generic jumpsuit and bodysuit would be optimal," suggested Pluto in an otherwise emotionless voice.
"Sounds good," said Ranma, not understanding the need but wanting to encourage some activity on their own. "Why don't you and... Venus take care of that."
Pluto - Laundry/Outfits.
Uranus - Maintain vehicle.
Neptune - Appearance stuff.
Saturn - Cleaning.
Jupiter - Cooking.
Mars - Weapons Maintenance.
Earth - Cleaning.
Venus - Outfits.
Mercury - Field Repairs.
No further suggestions were made, to Ranma's disappointment, so he left the changes. "We got a vehicle in the garage. According to this paper here it's something called a 'passport'."
"Large sports-utility vehicle," supplied Uranus. "Mainly intended for within city use. Very limited horsepower for vehicle mass."
"Right," said Ranma, not sure of this. Vehicles weren't his area of expertise.
"Permission to upgrade?" Uranus asked.
"Sure, whatever ya like," said Ranma, pleased by this. Of course, he had requested their input by asking 'How's that' and they were still going along with that - but it was a response at least.
