She spoke of the man who went to ask for a girl's hand in marriage only to find that she had died several years earlier. Then there was the tale of the dishonorable Amazon who had killed her rival through poison, only to have that rival return to terrorize her until she ran off a cliff. That was followed by the story of the hunting party that met a small child on the road and began to disappear one by one until the last discover what the 'child' truly was...
The usual campfire ghost tales really. And once it started getting on in time, she herded the children off to bed, happy at being able to share a simple, but much time honored, tradition with such young ones. Afterwards, she went to her own bedroll, smiling over the joy of just being a great-grndmother for once.
As for Ranma, he wasn't scared. Or at the very least, he wouldn't admit it. What he was wondering about was how did so many people get in one sleeping bag...
"Those were so scary..."
"I'm sure that they were just stories, Saturn..."
"Do you see any scary kids out there?"
"No, you're just seeing thing Moon."
"Shampoo think that Great-Grandmama too too good at telling stories."
"You got that right."
The pigtailed boy just leaned his head on the ground outside of the bag and sighed. It didn't look like he was going to get much sleep that night. Not that he could really blame them for that. That old lady was good at telling ghost stories.
So he just tried to find a good way to lay and thought,
