But as she looked at the boy she now belonged to, she had to admit that she could have wound up with worse. He was good looking, and rather easy going, though he seemed to have a rather jock cluelessness about him. He hadn't paid attention to anything that was happening, though she couldn't fault him totally since they had just dropped it on him. Though, she did hope that he wasn't as bad as she thought he was, or she'd have to keep watch herself...
"Damn it!" she snapped at herself.
"What is it?" Akane asked.
"I didn't really look at that paper either. I mean, it wasn't going to change anything, but I should have just looked at it anyway."
"Now you realise that," the younger girl muttered with a grunt. The whole situation had come as a surprise to her, and she wasn't quite sure what to make of it. She knew that it was a good thing that Kuno wasn't about to get her in any way shape or form, but the knowledge that she was going to be another boy's property was still a bit of a shock. Of course, it wasn't like she was going to get the option of changing it, as legally she belonged to him. But she just hoped that if he was going to own her, he'd be the sort of master that she would prefer.
Not that she was about to hold her breath on that one, as she watched him look around in puzzlement. "What's the matter?"
"Well..," Ranma said weakly, "I really didn't expect ta even have a roof over my head, never mind... ya know... And it's just a bit much. I mean, Pop didn't even really let us stop for lunch, and considerin' how much he likes ta eat, that's sayin' a lot."
"You haven't eaten?" Kasumi said with a surprised look. She had been shocked to find out about her new status, but it didn't change the fact that she had to care for those in her home. With this one young man, it was particularly important, since he was to be her Master, and she was supposed to take care of such things for him.
"Not really. Got a snack off a cart, but that doesn't really count, does it?"
"It doesn't. Just wait here and I'll bring you something to fill you up."
Watching her get up, he laughed nervously. "Ya don't haveta. I mean, I don't really wanna put ya through any trouble..."
"It's no trouble at all. I enjoy doing it, and I'm supposed to do it."
"Uh...oh..."
"Well then, I'll see what I can get you."
"Oh... okay..."
"Don't worry," the middle Tendo sister told him, "She's always like that. I doubt that anyone would be allowed to go hungry around her."
"Really? Guess I shouldn't make her stop if she wants ta do it..."
"Trust me. She does."
"Alright..," he allowed, and sighed while:
