However, Kasumi's 'little bit' turned out to be what he could have considered a small meal under other circumstances. He could tell that she'd managed to stretch out a small amount of food, but it still amazed him that she'd managed it, especially in such a short time. She'd even served him with the upmost care, and treated him so that he was wondering when the important person would come out. Once realised that it was for him, he grinned happily and started to set into it.
Then he'd realised that they'd have to sit there and watch him, and that didn't seem right to him. So he'd managed to get them to share with him, though he wondered why they hadn't done so from the start.
Now that they were eating, it gave him an opportunity to not have to worry about finding the right words. He simply ate, and enjoyed the food that he was given. It was much better than campfire rice, and he was happy to have actual homecooked food.
More importantly though, it gave him time to think. This was a new situation for him, since even though he'd known and seen people own slaves, he had never actually really had one of his own. It wasn't like he'd been travelling with one, and so he'd had no experience with such things. So he was now treading basically new territory, and he knew that he would have to figure out what he was going to do with his three new slave girls.
