Since he didn't like that idea, or that image, he decided that he would have to something about it. He didn't want them just to sit there though, waiting until he felt like it, so he had to do it quickly. And he had to do it one on one, not only so that he could concentrate his efforts with each conversation, but he could just do so in a more relaxed atmosphere.
With his mind made up, he found himself relaxing immediately. That would mean that he had some sort of strategy, and since he had a sneaky suspicion that this was for a long term basis, he liked having some idea of what was going to happen. It wasn't fancy, and it wouldn't do much more than solve an immediate problem, but it was his idea and that pleased him to no end.
In fact, he nearly smiled before he caught himself and settled down to simply enjoy his meal before he told the girls his plan.
Which was when he realised that there was one possible flaw to his plan. Even though it was fine to talk to them seperately, he would actually have to figure out which one he wanted to talk to when. In short, he had no idea of which order to go in.
He nearly banged his head against the table, but settled for berating himself silently and then adjusting the plan. There were several possibilities, and he knew that any one of them would suffice, but he would get to pick only one.
And the one he picked after as intense and deep a consideration as he'd get, was to:
