As he finished his meal, he saw that they were already done, and waiting for him to do something. It looked like they had barely even paid attention to what they were eating. He was pretty sure that they had a lot on their mind, and he knew that they were not going to rest easy until they had some clue on what he was going to do.
So he put his chopsticks down on his bowl and drew himself up as best he could. "I've made a decision."
The three girls looked at each other, but only Nabiki spoke. "You have? What is it?"
"I want each of ya to go ta ya rooms."
"Are we being punished?" Kasumi asked.
"Nope."
"Do you have some sort of... wish to see how good we will be in bed?" Akane asked.
"Uhh... not right now. No."
"Then what is it?" Nabiki asked.
"I just wanna be able ta talk ta each privately, and see how ya guys've been stayin'. This way I can get ta know ya, and ya can get ta know me. 'Sides... D'ya know what it's like sittin' here with the three of ya starin' at me like that? It's not somethin' I like."
"Oh my," murmured the eldest girl, "I didn't mean to do that."
"Don't worry. It's only natural."
"If you say so..."
"Now, would ya all go up? I'll be there in a little bit, 'kay?"
They nodded, and left the room, each glancing back at him as they departed.
Doing so left him alone and he took the time to take a deep breath. He hoped that this would go easier, though he knew that he wouldn't have a choice in this. Something told him that he would be having these slaves for a very long time. But he wasn't about to start trying to be mean, as it wasn't their fault that they'd been dropped on him.
It just meant that he'd have to make the best of it.
So he sat there for a moment, both to collect himself, and to let them get to their rooms while:
