Resident Ranma: Countermeasures [Episode 11036]

by Jryu

Although neither Ranma nor Kodachi were aware of it, they were not alone. Umbrella never did anything by half measures, and weren't going to test a single countermeasure in the upcoming trial.

As far as the world was concerned, the entire area around Furinkan was wiped out in a tragic, terrorist bombing. Everyone was considered dead. Umbrella found it a convenient way to get rid of any possible people who would otherwise start looking for their test subjects.

And besides... they needed victims to be minor obstacles in the test. Many of the T-virus victims they would be using were gathered in the same event.

The technician looked over everything one last time before the test began.

In cell 1, the test subjects for T-Counter Alpha, which was designed to create warriors based on speed and agility, able to strike fast and get away before a counter attack occurred. Subjects: Ranma and Kodachi

Cell 2, T-Counter Beta. Designed for sheer brute force and endurance, these soldiers were expected to go toe-to-toe with some of the more powerful creations Umbrella created. Subjects: Ryoga and Akane.

Cell 3, T-Counter Gamma. A midpoint between Alpha and Beta, Gamma counter was designed to create a more well-rounded warrior. While not as fast as Alpha, or as strong as Beta, Gamma would still have both enhanced, and have a much greater chance of survival in an unknown situation. Subjects: Shampoo and Konatsu.

Cell 4, T-Counter Delta. Delta wasn't designed for combat, so much, as defense. Delta would be able to, theoretically, survive almost anything thrown at them. Their purpose would not consist of leaning up monsters. Rather, they would be the ones sent in to make sure vital information was either saved or destroyed, no mater what got in their way. Subjects: Ukyo and Tatewaki.

Finally, Cell 5. The one that's full ability was the most theoretical, and the technician hoped it would stay that way. Hell, he was hoping that they wouldn't run that one through the test! After all, its proper trigger no longer existed... although some branches of Umbrella were still researching into recreating it. Cell 5. G-Counter. Subject: Hinako.

The figure in the shadows took one last puff on his cigarette. "Begin the test."
