"I don't know," Ranma said as he checked the walls for any sort of exit. "What do YOU remember?"
"Beyond a few flashes, not much beyond my final exams," Kodachi said, investigating herself. "I remember the explosion, however. Someone apparently took the trouble to "rescue" us. And I suspect we've been subjected to long term anesthetic...but what low-bred fool would dare hold such as we prisoner?"
"I've got no i..WHOA!!" Ranma jumped back and watched as a section of wall opened up before him.
Kodachi was instantly wary, and looked around for anything she could use to improvise a gymnastics club at the very least. Her eyes fastened on the leg of the bed and frowned, turning toward Ranma.
"Ranma-sama," she said. "A moment of your time please." Ranma looked back and she indiacted the table leg. "If you could free this section from the rest of it's body, I would be most appreciative."
"Errr," Ranma said hesitantly. "Right." He stepped over and soon Kodachi had a reasonable steel baton to wield.
"My eternal gratitude, Ranma-sama," Kodachi sighed leaning up against Ranma. Predictably Ranma backed away in a panic.
"Gee, Kodachi," he said. "We gotta get outta here first." Kodachi smirked, but nodded at the wisdom.
"Indeed," she said. "Off to business then, shall I proceed or do you wish to go first?" She gestured to the door and Ranma sighed before heading out into the hallway.
They walked perhaps twenty feet before finding a small chamber with five exits, four of them opened.
But that wasn't what attracted their attentions. It was the six people in the room that interested them.
"Ranma!" Akane shouted. "And Kodachi." The second name was spoken with much less enthusiasm.
"Ah it is the demon Saotome," Kuno declared. "Of course it is he that we have to thank for our incarceration. And lo does he bring my misguided sister with him..." he continued but most people paid him no mind.
"So they got you two, too," Ukyou said. "Eh, sugar?"
"Err," Ranma said. "Yeah."
"Do you think there's anybody else around here from Furinkan?" Ryouga asked.
"Shampoo no think so," Shampoo said. "This is very bad news."
"We've become part of a sort of experiment of some kind," Konatsu said, tapping the back of his neck meaningfully. "It seems likely that...we are...the only survivors."
He quickly peeked at their chi and realized that they were all changed somehow, though the changes were dormant. All of them were changed in different ways than he and Kodachi, however, and he wasn't certain what to make of that.
"Nabiki and Kasumi were taking a trip to check on colleges," Akane reminded herself softly. "By the kami I hope they made it out before that attack..."
"So what does our host have in store for us next, I wonder?" Kodachi said. And, as if in answer, the fifth exit opened. None took the time to look for the concealed passage to the G-Counter room. None even thought there might be one there.
