Clashing Styles: Those Crazy Kyokugens [Episode 110440]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

“Let me get this straight,” Takuma said as he held onto a leash, his son, daughter, and Robert trying to break their collars. “You,” He pointed at Kasumi, “Are a Foreign Exchange student staying with her?” He finished, pointing at Ranma-chan.

Kasumi nodded her head, still impressed at the sheer speed with which Takuma could move to catch her friends. And where the hell did he get the collars with matching name tags to go along with them no less!?

“Yeah, Kasumi’s pretty cool, you know,” Ranma-chan said. “I can already tell you, she’s gonna be okay around Nerima.” She smirked. “She already knows how to handle the perverts!”

“What!?” Takuma cried. “Perverts have been attacking, sweet, innocent, little Kasumi!?”

Kasumi laughed nervously and tried to placate the older man. Who knew what kind of bone-headed scheme he would come up with to protect her? “I scared them off, Mr. Sakazaki. No need to worry.”

Ranma-chan nodded her head. “Yeah, but first she had to beat up Geese Howard, Mr. Big, and Wolfgang Krauser to do it too!” She teased...

“WHAT!?!?” Robert, Ryo, and Yuri screamed at the same time. The force of the scream was enough to set off a nearby car alarm.

“Ranma!” Kasumi chastised.

“What?” Ranma-chan asked innocently. “Geese was such a meanie, beating up and Mai and King. And then you went on to kick his ass in. And then Mr. Big posed no threat. And let’s not forget how you beat Wolfgang Krauser in a perfect!”

Kasumi rolled her eyes and turned to explain to her shocked friends and rival. “It was a videogame.”

However, they didn’t hear. The younger generation too shocked by the first statement of Ranma, while Takuma...

“Oh, Kasumi!” Takuma cried as he hugged the girl for dear life. “MY poor, sweet, little Kasumi! Having those roughians gang up on you!” The older man held Kasumi at arm’s length. “I cannot, nay, WILL NOT allow you to be in Japan by yourself, where the evils of the Boss Team can harm you!” He looked her in the eyes seriously. “KASUMI!”

Kasumi would’ve protested the treatment if she weren’t turning purple already from the crushing hug.

“KASUMI!” Takuma repeated, shaking the poor girl.

“... Need... Air...” Kasumi manage to gasp out with her remaining breath.

Frowning since Kasumi wasn't giving him an answer, Takuma looked at the redhead. “Ranma!”

“Yeah?" Ranma-chan asked.

“Where is Kasumi an exchange student for?” Takuma asked.

“She’s going to my school,” Ranma-chan told him. “Furinkan High School in Nerima, Tokyo.”

Nodding his head seriously, Takuma looked down at Kasumi. “Don’t worry, little Kasumi! I’ll make sure you're not here alone! I’ll make sure Yuri’s here as a foreign exchange student too, you’ll see!”

That took Yuri right out of her shock. “WHAT!?” Yuri asked. “But dad, I have friends, and some schoolwork back at South Town High, and TV, and...”

“Yes, I know it will be difficult,” Takuma started to butt in. “Being away from your livelihood. The Dojo... The training sessions... The smoothies...” He sniffled. “It will be a sacrifice, but I need you here to look after Kasumi!”

Blinking her eyes once, twice, thrice. “Well, when you put it THAT way...”

Kasumi smiled. Having her best friend with her in Japan would be great!

Takuma looked at Kasumi. “Oh, and Kasumi?”

“Yes, Mr. Sakazaki?” Kasumi asked nervously.

“Please, when you fight Ryo again, go easy on the poor boy,” He said seriously. “I mean, if you’re strong enough to beat the Boss Team all by yourself, then poor Ryo doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell against you...”

“Hey!” Ryo protested, but was ignored.

Kasumi sweat-dropped. “Um... Right.”

“Thank you!” Takuma then smiled. “Oh, and please make sure to teach Yuri. We need a strong heir, and while it may be too late for Ryo, there should still be hope for Kasumi.” He smiled. “You’ll have her strong enough to beat Geese in no time!”

“HEY!” Ryo was, once again, ignored.

Kasumi’s sweat-drop grew to new heights. “... Will do...”

Smiling, Takuma finally let go of Kasumi. “But for now, I must be off! We have much more of Japan to see, and then, I must make arrangements to have Yuri sent here as an exchange student! So take care!”

And so, tugging on the leash, Takuma began dragging the kids away from the ice-cream parlor.

Watching the Sakazakis go, Ranma-chan nodded her head. “What a nice family.”

“You have NO idea!” Kasumi deadpanned and decided she needed to lay down.
