Hana quickly brought the map from the new young guide of Jusenkyou. Looks like the old one had retired and beem replaced five years ago. Now she was on her way to visit her grandmother, the village seer. She intended to ask about where to find the new Phoenix God since she couldn't just ask around. She landed outside her Gran's house and walked in after knocking.
"What you seek child," stated Hana's grandmother, "can be found in the Juuban prefect of Tokyo. I have drawn you this map. Use the crystal on top to help you locate your target. It reacts to the energies of Saffron and will react to your target as well. Take them and go."
"Are you ever going to let me ask my questions before answering them Gran?" complained Hana.
"It would be a waste of time," Gran sayed. 'And it doesn't get the same funny reactions either'she thought to herself with a mental smirk.
Hana let off a sigh as she grabbed the items and wondered when her gran would stop showing off. She walked out and prepared herself for the jorney to Japan. As a precaution she grabbed some packets of Instant Nyannichuan from the the military store house. The packets of Instant Jusenkyou Water where used on anyone going out on stealth missions. This was the only comfortable way to hide wings that didn't leave the same risks. As soon as she had what she needed she departed for Japan.
A week later Hana had begun to search the prefect known as Juuban for the new God. This new God was likely pretty smart Hana figured. There were no rumors of creatures resembling a Phoenix God and she deffinatly hadn't seen one parade itself down the street. The new Phoenix God must be quite cunning to hide itself this way.
Hana was currently getting ready for bed and grimaced at the fact she had to sleep in her transformed state instead of her natural one. Japanese beds did not properly accomadate someone with wings. Although she bathed before bed and used another packet, Hana was not worried about running out of Instant Nyannichuan. The Tribe had a large stockpile so she had grabbed a generous amount. The Phoenix Tribe had learned how to make the stuff so the supply was pretty much limitless.
Two days later Hana was walking down a nice, upscale looking residential street. She was upset because the crystal had mislead her yesterday. It seems the crystal reacts to high heat signatures. Like that of a large fire. She had made a fool of herself by running around a shinto temple looking for the new God. She figured today would be better.
Hana was aproaching the residant of a certain distraught lady when the crystal began to glow. Hana let off a silent cheer and started walking faster. As she approached the Soatome residense it got brighter and brighter. Stopping outside the house where the crystal let off a flash and stopped glowing Hana knew she'd found the new God. Knocking on the door and trying to contain her excitement at finishing her job and heading home she waited for a servant to answer the door.
Hana knocked a few more times before deciding the new God must be trying to hide from the world and wasn't accepting visitors. She broke down the door and walked in to look for the one Saffron told her to find an give the invitation so she could leave. She looked around from the entrance and was upset at not seeing anyone. Even if the God didn't show himself surely he kept servants on hand like Saffron did? She then heard footsteps coming from upstairs.
Before Hana could go up to look a figure descended the stair and approached the entrance. The figure turned out to be that of a japanse woman with red hair, a slightly ruined and slightly singed kimono,who looked upset and a little afraid. Hana had a thermos of hot water with her and was contaplating dosing herself and running from the upset new Phoenix Goddess. She was a little confused about the whole Goddess thing since she was certain Gran would have mentioned such an important detail.
