[Episode 111419] [Episode 111419]Ranma looked back with a glare, the healing lip and running blood creating a disturbing look. "Old ghoul, I can't let Saffron keep killin'!" he growled, taking a step forward...
... and fell flat on his face. He winced as the sudden impact jarred his wounds even further, though he refused to audibly admit it. Nodoka moved to him in concern, while Cologne shook her head sagely.
"You're no superhero, Ranma. Besides, your balance was all off, with your new additions," she remarked, hopping over to him.
Ranma stared at the ground in confusion. "... New additions?" he asked, before realizing the presence of a new appendage.
As he looked back to see what it was, his mother explained. "Ranma, your new form gives you some animal traits, such as the fur, claws, fangs... and tail," she said, gesturing to his tail. It was ragged and dirty, like the rest of his fur, and it followed the same pattern as his fur: light brown, with darker spots. It was long and, Ranma now realized, extremely flexible, like a certain animal, but yet the fur on it was long, like a wolf's.
He was beginning to notice a trend. But again, he deigned to comment on it, as his mother was helping him to his feet. "Now, let's get you to a bed, and EEK!" she screamed, as she dropped herself and Ranma to the ground in order to avoid a fireball. THe fireball swooped over there heads and incinerated the wall that was behind them. Both looked up to see Saffron, looking much worse than he did when he had first attacked. His robes were torn, barely hanging on to his body, and wounds covered his body, with flames blazing out of them as they healed. His wings were missing, unable to heal at that moment, and his shoulder was a mess, flesh ripped away to reveal white bone and to let burning blood leak out and scorch the ground below, leaving his left arm hanging uselessly. Most of all, however, was the angry visage on his face, and his eyes, which betrayed madness.
"SAOTOME!" he roared. "NOW WE SHALL FINISH THIS!" With that said, his functioning hand formed a fireball, which actually seemed to be weaker than usual. His eyes narrowed, though, when the Amazon stepped in front of the mother and son.
Cologne looked back to the crouching people. "Nodoka. Boy. Get out of here and rest. There might be a few healing salves left at my restraunt," she ordered, her stance showing that she would not be joining them in their retreat. However, Ranma had other plans, as evidenced by his attempt at standing, which suceeded.
"Naah," he drawled, "I think I'll take care of birdie here." He staggered forward, beside Cologne, and stared the furious God King in the eye. Looking at his shoulder made him remember a brief momory, and he smirked at his foe. "So, that shoulder gettin' better?" he mocked.
Saffron snarled as he raised the fireball to eye level. "You won't be caring much, after I destroy you and your pathetic island!" he roared, as he launched the fireball. With great effort, Ranma jumped to the side, avoiding the fireball. Without looking back, he knew that the two older women had gotten out of the way, so he ignored the heat of the fireball's eruption, ignored the sudden blast of wind that made his pigtail wave. He instead concentrated on his being, trying to pull up the lest dregs of his ki reserves.
All he cared about was killing Saffron, again.
