M's attempts to convince the Diggers to let him check Ranma's DNA to see if he was part alien were interrupted when his cell phone started ringing. Signaling to Theodore and Julia that he would just be a moment he took out the cell and turned around before answering it.
"Yes, what is it?" M asked knowing the only reason someone would call his cell would have something to do with an important development.
"This Agent Nasagawa from Juban," was the reply, “my current assignment has to do with that genetics scientist we suspected of possessing alien DNA"
"Genma Saotome?" M asked, "The one also suspected of performing illegal experiments?"
"Correct sir," Nasagawa replied. "It seems he's dead. I managed to take a look at the scene before the police secured the area. I think one of his experiments torched him. The damage radiates out from one point in his office. The burns to Saotome's face suggest the one responsible has powerful fire based abilities."
"Any leads as to what happened?" M asked.
"I've heard some accounts of a woman matching Genma's wife seen running towards his office in a bathrobe looking highly distressed," stated Nasagawa. "The woman's name is Nodoka. She gave birth to their son not long ago. Some of Genma's colleagues we've spoken to in the past say that Genma had considered using his work to enhance his children. I think what may have happened is that Nodoka noticed her son and husband were missing and ran down to his office to stop him only to get hit by one of his experiments. Either what she got hit with released some powerful dormant pyrokenetic abilities or mixed her DNA with that of a powerful fire using creature."
