Ryoga finished licking his fingers, his mind torn between several things.
The first was the idea of the new technique Ranma gave him, wondering what he could make it look like. Akari would probably be very happy if it resembled a pig. Perhaps he could model it after that wild boar he defeated trying to find Ranma.
Last he heard, the thing had won a seat on the Council for the village.
Finally was the Wayfarer’s amulet. With it now anchored to him, he was supposed to be able to always find the quickest route of where to go. Maybe he could even avoid that demon in the Tendo basement.
Maybe he could even hang around Akari for a full day? Maybe I should go see her now? I need some time to work on that attack, and I would love to see her now.
POP!
Ranma and Nabiki stared as Ryoga literally vanished into thin air.
“He teleported!” gasped Ranma. “I mean, I knew he could disappear at times, but he actually teleports?!”
Nabiki nodded. She was surprised as well that Ryoga could do that. “The Wayfarer’s amulet must give him some sort of control over it.”
Ranma sighed. “And I was hoping we could have a fight before he left. I wanted to see his new technique.”
Nabiki merely shook her head. He was so cute when he pouted, in either form. “Maybe you should test out what all that spider bite gave you, let alone find out what all your purchases do.”
Sighing, Ranma agreed, before his head shot up. “Crap, I should’ve got something for Bob!”
“Well, every girl does need a magical pet,” she teased. “You’d be the first guy, though. Are you sure?”
Ranma thought about it. Bob was pretty happy, and he did seem to enjoy himself. Did he really want to waste more time here. “Maybe, but I should get him something.”
Nabiki nodded, fingering the amulet she wore around her neck. “Maybe we should stop by the store on the way; get him a nice juicy meat bone.”
Ranma nodded, before turning back to Nabiki. “What are those things, anyway? You never told me.”
“Well, the tools are part of the belt; the Tool belt of Skuld. I’m not really certain why a Norn Goddess of the Future needs tools, but I’m told I could make damn near anything with them.”
Ranma nodded. “Think you could make my web shooters?” he asked.
Smirking, Nabiki smiled, walking around the table, and sitting in his lap; much to the surprise of the pigtailed neo-Spider-man. “Of course, Ranma-kun; and at a price you’ll love.”
Ranma gulped, wondering what was wrong with Nabiki. “A-a-a-and the amulet?” he barely asked.
“Why, it is the Amulet of...”
