Techniques & Tights: Making their Way to the Dojo ... or trying to. [Episode 167234]

by The Demented Redhead

“Why, it is the Amulet of Safety,” she said, smirking as he looked at her with confusion. “This little baby will let me know if I am in any sort of danger, tell me what it is, and how to get away from it.

“I figure with so many battles around, never know when I should be running and in what direction if it pops up.”

Ranma nodded. He guessed that made sense. After all, he had his own danger sense. “Okay, then can we ... uhm ... go?”

“Of course, Ranma-kun.”

They stayed for a few more minutes, before... “Nabiki?”

“Yes?”

“You need to get off me first.”

Smirking, Nabiki slowly stood back up, making certain to grind a bit onto his lap while doing so.

Ranma blushed, reminding himself that Nabiki did not see him that way, before he stood up.

Sadly, the chair had other ideas, and stayed stuck to his rear.

“Well Ranma,” said Nabiki, “I’d have to say that spider bite has started to take effect.”

Ranma almost cried. Now he could never sit down again.

“I can help you with that.”

The both turned to see Vanessa standing there. “Can you?” weakly asked Ranma.

Nodding, she placed her open hands on his wrists, a glowing green light emanating from them, before she stood back.

Ranma looked at his wrists, as the seat fell to the ground. “Wow,” he said with awe.

Nodding, the magical girlfriend smiled. “I moved them to your wrists, so you won’t have to worry about ... accidents.”

“How can I thank you?” asked Ranma, as Nabiki began to exam the new web shooters that had formed on his wrists.

“No worries,” said Vanessa. “I always want to see a happy customer.”

“Let’s go, Ranma-kun,” said Nabiki leaving enough money for the meal as she dragged Ranma away.

Vanessa smiled as they went down the street. “Ah, young love. Maybe he’ll even get a clue how she feels.” Turning to her boyfriend, she lifted him up, bringing his face mere millimeters from her own. “Now stud, you and me are going to work off some of that positive karma you just made.”

Nabiki had taken his arm again; careful not to touch his new web shooters, as they went down the street. “You think we can leave now?” she asked.

Ranma shrugged. “Maybe; we did buy some stuff. But they might not let us go if we still have any money left.”

“Well you get to buy me something more then,” she smiled. “I did have to pay for the meal.”

“Sorry.”

“That’s okay,” she said.

“You need anything else?”

“Nah,” she said, stopping. “I also got these.”

“What are they?” he asked, seeing her now holding a large card and a small brown bag.

“The bag is a bottomless bag, and can hold anything, sort of like Mousse’s Hidden Weapons Style. I was going to ask you to take it with you. If you see any technology lying about, throw it in. I need materials to start making stuff.”

“And the card?” he asked, not caring that she had asked him to do that. He would likely be seeing the local area really well when the others found out what he had done.

“A portable lab. It was made by some company called Washu Inc. All I have to do is slap this thing on a wall in my room, and it’ll make a dimensional pocket where I can build things in safety. Once I anchor it, it can’t be destroyed.”

She left out that it warned that all defenses built into it were useless against people who tended to just pop out of nowhere or anyone named Mihoshi.

“Cool,” said Ranma. “Looks like you love it already.”

She smiled as she put the card away, and handed him the empty bag. “I’ll admit, it isn’t that exciting, but I did say I was more of a supporting role, not a front line role.”

Ryoga blinked, wondering where he was.

“Ryoga-kun?”

Slowly turning, he nearly fainted from blood loss at the sight.

He was in Akari’s bathroom, while Akari was taking a bubble bath.

Said girl just smirked, as she slowly stood up, taking him down with both barrels. “Oh goody, I was hoping you would pop in. Sorry, but I don’t want you disappearing quite yet.”

“Are you sure we should be doing this?”

“Calm down, Usagi,” said Makoto. “We just want to see this guy Setsuna was so upset that we might meet.”

“He might be cute!” squealed Minako.

Haruka snorted. “I just want to see if all the stuff about him being a martial arts god is true. I’d like to see how I stack up against the supposed best.”

Michiru smiled. “And the rumors of him turning into a cute little redhead have nothing to do with it?”

Haruka blushed. “My reason is still the best one.”

“I want to play with Bob again,” cheered Hotaru. She had even gotten him some pet food that the nice girl Kasumi had said he liked.

Ami just wanted to scan Bob again, until she figured out how he could exist. The thing was like a living example of constant alchemy.

Rei nodded. She wanted to see if this Ranma was as good with ki and chi as the rumors said. If so, he might be able to help her with her fire readings.

Mamoru kept his mouth shut, hoping that this guy wasn’t engaged to his Usagi. Privately, he wondered if the rumor of him being engaged to all those girls was true.

It had given him a nightmare when he dreamt he had the same problem with all the Senshi.

Very ... very ... scary.
