"Are you sure you want to be here, Miss?" the man asked. "Some strange stuff goes on here."
"I am aware of that," she said. "Have no fear."
"All right, lady," he said. "Your funeral. Probably one of them crazies anyway."
He pulled away with a semi-desparate speed which the magician barely noticed. When he later checked to find that his vinyl seats were somewhat distorted from some heat, he'd blame the sun rather than her.
As for the girl going by the name Yeh Lo she sighed as she considered that she'd be meeting her prince soon. The man that defeated her before. The man that had taken the phoenix pill.

"So when is this girl supposed to come by?" one of the three ninja asked irritably.
"Some time today, just wait," another said, laying down another playing card.
"We've got a day off because the old codger had a dream about some sort of situation that needed to be taken care of," the third said. "Just wait."
They sat about Furinkan's grounds, none of the residents at all perplexed at why a three ninja, one playing solitaire, were sitting and waiting in the school yard.
Yeh Lo new they were there and, as she walked toward them, she knew that she'd just have to hold her patience with the attackers she'd arranged until Ranma came forward to rescue her. And it wouldn't be entirely pleasant.
For this matter, she'd sent a message to a sect that held her as an enemy, and it was one that revered all the elements. Still, they only thought a minion was coming, not the Phoenix, so she should have been fine until Ranma "rescued" her.
