"Aw man, not again!" Ranma muttered as his shoulders slumped. "Why me..?"
"Your masculine charm? Your open and giving nature? Plain dumb luck?"
"Hah hah. Very funny."
"It is from where I'm standing."
"Not for me," the pigtailed boy sighed. Girls were always popping up to try to get romantic with him, try to kill him, or both, and they were most often than not cute. Which wasn't a big help when he was trying to keep himself in one piece, especially when two of them came together. He even had times when girls seemed to need to ask him for help. "It's not like I am for this sort of stuff."
"Nope, you just manage to attract girls."
"Yeah. I'd just like to know why."
"Hm. Maybe it's the 'wild child', or 'untamed loner' thing going on. Who knows? But at least you've done pretty well so far."
Ranma nodded at that. As of yet, it hadn't really gotten to anything save just being a nuisiance. It was one thing to meet girls who'd want to 'talk' in a cafe, but he hadn't met a girl who'd really persisted in trying crazy things to get him.
"So what do you want to do?" Reacher asked.
"Guess we'd better get going before someone starts getting curious."
"After you."
"Sure," the martial artist agreed, and headed off while:
