Kyretha saw the movement and her eyes widened. "A renegade! KILL HER!"
A hobgoblin started forward only to make a strangled noise and start clutching at its throat before completing the first step. It dropped its weapons and collapsed.
"I would not interfere, were I you," said a Something as it stepped out near Xarra.
"What the abyss are you?" Kyretha asked, sizing up the odd figure.
"An interested observer," said the being. "This fight is between you two. Anyone interfering will be dealt with."
The hobgoblin's body continued to shrivel and decay, leaving equipment behind as it became blowing dust.
"An entropic shell," realized Kyretha, looking over the creature again. Some sort of high level mage, despite its golem-like appearance.
"I am Xarra, priestess of Eilistraee. Renounce the Spider-Queen and live, or you may die on my blade. Your choice."
"You will not interfere?" Kyretha asked the construct.
"This is a battle between priestesses, a duel between rival faiths. This one will not interfere." The Warforged stood to the side, its featureless face looking about.
Kyretha hefted her mace. "That'll do then."
"The spelljammer was pretty packed tight, most of them dead when we brought it down."
"I see," said the prince. "What about those aboard?"
"Looks like fifty drow, maybe twice that in mercenaries," said General Tchon.
"Any idea of their port of origin?" Ranma held up a piece of the gathered debris.
"Working on it," said the General. "Ship registry was out of the Rock Of Bral, which means absolutely nothing of course."
"Yeah," agreed Ranma. He could have his boots registered as Hammerships out of the Rock without much effort. "Say hello to your sister for me."
"She's probably enjoying this, it seems her sort of 'fun'," responded the General.
"SIR!" a soldier came running up to the two. "Something's moving in the wreckage. Too large to be human."
"Now this might be fun," said Ranma, grinning.
The wreckage of the ship stirred, which was quite concerning for the crowd that had seen it get punctured and come burning down after it had been hit by those castle defense bombards.
It was quite simple, anything that could stand up to those bombards - had to pretty damn tough. They'd been designed to, and had been demonstrated effective, in taking out large flying archdemons and swarms of other nasties from the Pit.
While the ship might have provided some shelter from the more ravening of energies launched against it, nobody was betting on that fact.
Eventually the form was revealed as:
