It did not matter that she did not have a ticket. She'd be able to do just fine without it. After all, had she not managed to escape her unjust confinement and secure passage on the vessel ferrying candidates to the kingdom? And had she not heard that voice whispering about 'saving the candidates'? Then she had survived that and merely walked her way to the palace.
With that sort of fortunate activity, she would have no way of failing in her path.
"Ohohohohohohohohohoho!"
"Oh hell, not her."
The Guard looked towards the sailor that he'd helped save. "What is it?"
"When we were boarding the candidates, there was this one girl who tried to force her way on, acting like we shouldn't try to stop her," the sailor sighed, "Like she had a right to be there. But we managed to get her off the ship... or so I'd thought."
"Ahh... Probably a lone nut job."
"Pretty much..."
Which he was trying to do right now. The Guards had given him a big job. It was very important that they find all the bridal candidates, but they needed his help. Though they would go into the smelly stuff because they had to, he thrived on it. He could look with impunity where they didn't want to go.
His work was good too, since he'd gone through a lot of space and found no one. At least, so far.
Turning over a log that filled with some water, he sighed as the only thing that happened was that the murky liquid had fallen over the edge of the rise that he'd been on. Which just meant that he'd have to keep searching for the pretty ladies.
Kodachi had been admiring the beauty of the land that her Prince ruled.
Then a not so small amount of formerly stagnant water splashed over her head.
