So when she felt that he was coming...not bothering to notice that she FELT him coming...she swiftly rose from her desk and started down the stairs in a mixture of joy and anxiety. Another thing she'd think was odd if she had time to think about it.

Ryouga frowned as he saw Ranma walking calmly down the sidewalk towards the dojo. Of late Ranma had been acting very odd. He no longer "showed off" as everybody called it. Instead he was acting almost as if he were an average person, just like anybody else.
This new humility made the others suspicious, and Ryouga and Akane especially. And now Ranma had angered Akane. Obviously it was as everybody thought, this so-called maturity was just a fraud.
Ranma was just toying with them all. He was certainly his father's son, tossing people's lives around as if they were toys.
"RANMA!" Ryouga shouted, not noticing his shout being echoed by somebody else. "Prepare to die!!" Ranma had briefly been smiling and then he looked up to see Ryouga launching a barrage of bandanas, boosted by a green film of energy...the shi-shi hokodan.
And then Ranma started running forward, much to Ryouga's confusion until he looked down to see a familiar scene.
A girl, her back turned, running, as his bandanas swarmed toward her. Ryouga's heart sank as Nabiki turned around to see the bandanas.
It all happened in slow motion, Nabiki tried to dodge, covering her head as a bandana slashed along her right leg before twisting back up into the air toward Ranma. Another slashed the underside of her left arm and another slashed her torso just under her armpit.
She fell backward crying out, and her head connected with one of the trees, bringing her sceam to an abrupt end. Ryouga didn't see Ranma evade his bandanas, but the other martial artist must have, as he was quickly there to keep Nabiki from a final impact with the ground.
"Nabiki!" Kasumi called out in a panic, rushing forward. She paused only briefly to look up at Ryouga with an expression of betrayal. "Oh kami is she..."
"She's alive," Ranma said tightly, lying her down gently and letting Kasumi take care of her.
"Ranma..." Ryouga started apologetically. "I..." and then Ranma's eyes snapped upward and Ryouga recognized the expression. Ranma had looked like that when Saffron had threatened Akane.
