Taking a few deep breaths, Ukyou said calmly, though still obviously blushing, "Sorry, Ranchan. Just feeling very excited about today. Anyway," she brought out a box and placed it in front of Ranma, "to start the day, I brought you some okonomiyaki for breakfast."
Sorry, Ucchan, but I just finished eating breakfast, Ranma wanted to say, except that it died in his mouth the moment the aroma wafting from the box reached his nose. "Thanks!" he instead said, digging in.
As he did so, Ranma started to recall what happened the previous day.

"Ranma Saotome," chibi-Hinako squeaked aloud, "you will be coupled with Ukyou Kuonji"
Taken aback, moreso because he was very much hoping that he'd be paired off with someone who wasn't a martial artist, Ranma reflexively looked back at Akane, trying to form some sort of reasoning for this.
As he was trying to piece together an excuse, Ukyou jubilantly leapt into his arms. "Isn't it great, Ranchan?"
"Umm, yeah." Over her shoulders, he could see that Akane turned away from him.
"I take it everything will be alright with you two?" his teacher asked, to which Ranma unsurely nodded.
That was when he noticed something odd. "Hey, Miss Hinako, why's half your face covered in chocolate?"
"Nothing much, Saotome-kun," she answered, licking off all the chocolate. "Other than for that delicious chocolate okonomiyaki I had a while ago, that is!"
Hearing an, 'Urk!' from nearby, Ranma turned towards Ukyou, who was unconvincingly trying to laugh it off.
Sighing, he turned back to the front of class, wanting to see whom the next couple will consist of.
"Akane Tendou, you will be coupled with Tatewaki Kunou.
"WHAT?!" Akane screamed aloud, running to the front of the class in full rage. "How's that possible?! He's not even from this class!"
Chibi-Hinako stared at Akane, saying in a serious tone which belied her current age, "Miss Tendou, this list was created through a fair and just process. If you have any problems with--"
"Excuse me? Is there a Miss Hinako in this room? Sorry about the interruption, but I'm here to inform her that the two-and-a-half meter tall chocolate bunny is in a truck outside."
"Yaaaay!" chibi-Hinako cheered, instantly leaving the room for more important things.

Finishing his second breakfast of the day, Ranma said, "Wow, that was even better than usual, Ucchan!"
Her skin turning a darker shade of red from the compliment, Ukyou, trying her best to remain composed, got out, "Thanks, Ranchan! I wanted to make it extra-special for the occasion!"
"So... what do we do now?"
Ukyou, who had stayed up late the previous night to plan every small detail of this very important day, suddenly found herself fidgeting, afraid that she wouldn't be able to do everything she had wanted to. Unsure of what to do next, Ukyou cautiously said, "Well, maybe we could...."
