Bishonen Knights: Summoner Ranma [Episode 115956]

by Kestral

Mamoru Chiba was a martial artist, roughly a black belt in a form of karate. He was also pretty good at European style fencing, both foil and sabre, and at archery.

When he'd spent time in England though, darts had been his game and the tall Japanese youth had quickly acquired a reputation for such. In a simple fight he could toss slim knives or shuriken to great effect and pinpoint accuracy.

In battle though - he summoned Alexander, and arrows of light would slam down into his target. He had met Ranma years ago and the two had recognized each other as people who had been comrades-in-arms in a previous life.

Ranma summoned the power of Raiden. Lightning was his specialty, though he had some power with regard to the weather itself.

That this was not supposed to happen at all was immensely frustrating for Setsuna, who now cast about for something which had remained the same.

Rei Hino was still a miko at the Hikawa Shrine and still had clairvoyant visions that were not under her control. She was...

Setsuna groaned. Mamoru's father had made an engagement with Rei's father much as he had done with Soun Tsukino. A dowry had been involved. Somehow it looked as though the engagements that usually had been chains holding Ranma in place had mutated and transferred to Mamoru. She wouldn't be too surprised to find Chinese Amazons chasing Mamoru at this point.

So Rei Hino was engaged to Mamoru Chiba and was part of a triangle involving Usagi as one of the participants.

Looking at the Tendo Dojo, Setsuna discovered quickly enough that it was now the Tsukino Dojo and that Soun Tsukino had four daughters. Usagi, the clumsy one, had been volunteered by the other three for this duty. The other three daughters apparently had no interest or connection, at present, to anybody else who was doing anything of interest. Usagi was also the only one with an odd talent, in her case she seemed to have a bizarre sort of luck that both got her into and out of trouble.

The time guardian looked elsewhere, letting the image skim around.

There was Magical Nurse Hotaru, there was... ?!

Setsuna wrestled the scene back. There was Hotaru Tomoe all right. Magical Nurse Hotaru. She could make a light appear out of nowhere with Illumination and use her Mercy Touch to heal wounds and cure diseases - though the latter ability left her exhausted.

She wasn't connected with Mamoru at least. Not a fiancee. She was connected with a third hero in this odd team. Ryoga Hibiki had wandered into her life, saved her from bullies, and frequently showed up whenever she needed him.

Ryoga wasn't simply bad with directions in this recast timeline. He had an ability to show up at all sorts of odd places, even when it should have been impossible for him to wander there. Such as showing up in Hawaii at one point despite never boarding a boat or plane.

Like the others, Ryoga was a martial artist. Unlike Mamoru, whose martial arts was one of several skills, Ryoga was a dedicated martial artist. Martial arts was life to Ryoga. He studied every chance he got and practiced exotic forms whenever he could encounter them. His summoning was Titan, and his strength and endurance were greater even than in his original timeline.

Ryoga was a dedicated martial artist, and his dedication was founded on memories of his parents having died at the hands of a yoma that had awoken early and killed several people years ago. It was on seeing the dim shape of the commander of the yoma that he had sworn an oath.

"My name is Ryoga Hibiki! You killed my parents! Prepare to die!"

Of course the child that was Ryoga couldn't have even slightly wounded the yoma. The Ryoga that had become the brooding juggernaut of vengeance might have become a Dark Hero except that a little fussing over him by Hotaru tended to leave him a bit giddy and prone to wandering off. Hotaru showed some odd cluelessness about Ryoga and would insist he wasn't wandering off and getting lost but that he was off to rescue others as a true hero.

Hotaru's insisting having been relayed back to Ryoga, he was now very much not wanting to do ANYTHING that would disillusion the girl.

The former Senshi of Time shook her head at the sight, and was aware of her own changes beginning to catch up with her. Instead of looking mid-20s, she was apparently younger in this timeline.

Checking on her self as she would become, Setsuna discovered -
