Ranma nodded to her co-worker and friend. "Sorry, just a bit dizzy for a second there," she apologized as she walked up to the truck.

Junko Terajima nodded as she put the trash can back down. "Maybe you're tired; after all, whenever you're not working, you're practicing your martial arts, as well as..." she trailed off.

The redhead smirked as she climbed into the passenger seat of the truck, knowing why her friend stopped talking. "Pfft. I ain't gonna stop, 'cause then someone might get lucky 'n beat me," she declared.

Junko sighed as she climbed into the truck. The woman, like Ranma, was not what one would expect to become a trashman, trashgirl, whatever the speaker's preference; she was rather attractive, with short brown hair and brown eyes, and had a good, athletic build. She was obviously in her thirties, though that didn't stop younger men from approaching her with propositions that she would never accept.

But probably the strangest thing about her was her mind; she was most definitely a genius, and Ranma knew that she had at least two degrees from Todai. It was a mystery to all why Junko decided to become a public servant.

Ranma, however, had an inkling of an idea.

"Ranma, Ranma... Life is not just about who can beat who. We both know that you're capable of alot, so why do you insist on beating yourself, in order to become the greatest combatanant?" the woman asked, watching the busy road as she drove.

The redhead glanced at Junko. "Why d'ya pick up garbage, if ya so smart?"

Junko began to chuckle, then immediately stopped as the windows of a tall building several blocks away erupted in glass shards and smoke. The brunette and the redhead looked at eachother, then Junko quickly spun the steering wheel, aiming for an alleyway. No one seemed to notice, as they were intent on staring at the explosion.

The garbage truck continued down the alleyway for a few moments before it screeched to a stop. Quickly, Ranma and Junko rolled out of their seats, and entered a door that was in the back of the cab.

One thing Ranma did not understand about the truck was how it had so much freakin' space it had inside. Though outside it was the same as any other truck, in the inside was a room large than the truck itself. The dark room had one side filled with a bank of computer consoles and monitors, and another with several lockers. Ranma immediately went to the lockers while Junko sat down at the computer. "What's happenin'?" Ranma asked as she opened one of the lockers and began stripping out of her jumpsuit.

"I'm hacking into the security system right now," was the response, as the older woman began typing furiously on the keyboards, and the many screen began filling up with windows and numbers and words. Ranma did not watch this; isntead, she pulled on a latex-like outfit. The suit was black, and covered her body tightly all the way up to her neck. After smoothly slipping on the suit, she reached inside the locker to get a red mask, which, when worn, would cover the top half of her skull. Her outfit was completed with two additional items: a red robe, which was sleeveless and v-necked, covered her torso completely but then split at the waist to create two "tails" ending at her knees; and a pair of red gauntlets, which fitted snugly over her fists.

"Get going, 'Ronin'," Junko muttered, not watching the girl change. "I'll radio you intel over the com in your mask." The martail artist, also known as the superhero Ronin, nodded, then opened a hatch in the ceiling of the room, in order to leap out.

Several moments later, as Ronin crouched on the rooftop of the building adjacent to the one whose window had been destroyed, information did arrive. "All right, Ronin, here's the story..."
