So why the hell did she take the garbage collector outfit?
Looking at herself in the full-sized mirror in the dressing room, she did have to admit that it didn't look half bad. Though a bit loose, but not too baggy in comparison to her Chinese outfits, the blue jumpsuit was surprisingly comfortable. The boots were a bit heavy and large for her liking; it would take some practice before she could kick right. She even liked the blue bandanna that she had wrapped around her head in the same style as Ryouga.
She studied herself for a moment, then looked back at the racks of clothing behind her, wondering if she was making the right choice.
When she set her eyes on the bunny outifit, she congratulated herself on her decision. Thus, she left the store, ignoring the amused look the old man was giving her.
The minute the door closed behind her, a tsunami of memories and knowledge rushed through her head, wiping away her old self in order to make room for her new life. Her vision turned white as her brain tried to cope with the wave of information. Meanwhile, she didn't notice that she was growing slightly, coincidentally making her outift fit better. Not much actually happened; she only gained about an inch or two of height, and her body became a bit more stockier.
Soon, her vision cleared. After blinking for a little while, she remembered her life so far.
Her father had taken her on a training trip for years. Of course, he belittled her at every moment, calling her a sissy, and bemoaning the fact that she was not born male. After ten years of harsh training, and after she and her father, who had stupidly fallen into a cursed spring that turned him into a panda, was chased out of China by some crazy girl, the two went to Nerima. There, she found out that she was supossed to join the two Anything Goes schools by marrying one of Tendo's kids.
Of course, there was the minor problem of all of the Tendo children being girls.
So, in order to join the two families, Genma had the "brilliant" plan of marrying his daughter to his buddy. Ranma, of course, balked at the idea of marriage, much more against marrying a much older man. The three sisters were appalled at the idea of a girl who was younger than themsleves becoming their stepmother. Then Nodoka came in not long after; she, too, thought it was the great idea for her daughter to marry into an upstanding noble family such as the Tendos, else she be cast out of the Saotome family.
She jumped as a voice called out, breaking her out of her reviere. "Hey Ranma! What are you doing?" She turned her head down the road, where another blue clad figure leaned against a grey garbage truck. Her new memories told her that this was the driver of the truck she worked on...
