Prince Ranma: Obsidian Spiders & Other Things [Episode 117494]

by Kestral

"There's an assault on the castle! Some sort of spell resistant spider-golem!"

That drew some interest from both the bridal candidates and those who more regularly frequented taverns.

"You two keep an eye on the innocents," said Kepeskixen. "This may be just what the dragon ordered."

There were odd things in Rangard, misfits of all sorts and species. Some things remained a constant however.

Halflings liked to eat.

Dwarves tended to be serious and good craftsmen.

Elves tended to make light of a number of things.

Red dragons of adult or greater age tended to be formidable opponents.

Kepeskixen went out into the courtyard and dropped her human appearance while the camera of one of those other-world heralds was fixed on her. She heard the gasp and smelled the sudden burst of fear, and smiled.

With a leap and a mighty surge of her wings, Kepeskixen lifted off and circled the area once so that the herald's device could capture her magnificent image for those of the Prince's homeworld.

"I'd say not," agreed the Councillor. He took out a flask and prepared to fill a bottlecap with the contents. "Brandy?"

"Please," said the pixie, settling down on the table.

Quickly pouring a respectable dollop into his own glass after filling the bottlecap for the guest, the Councillor shot it down. "Pardon me, but I needed that. Who'd have thought a wedding would take this much planning and cause so many problems?"

Ranma leapt back, bouncing from one section of wall to another, pausing only to pull something from a forearm sheath and point it. "Bibbledy bobbledy boop!"

The command phrase activated - the wand sent out a beam that touched a piece of the ship's hull that was still fairly intact. Ranma gestured and the section slammed up into the spider.

It staggered momentarily before:
