The young proud Ctarl-Ctarl snoozed, breathing softly.

Ranma fell asleep while petting his kitty. If he'd known the Cat Fist training could have provided him a pet, he'd have been much more interested in doing it earlier.

Genma had his ear sewn back on.

All in all, it was a fairly happy and contented time. More or less.

She'd marked the boy with her scent. If any other Ctarl-Ctarl came by, they'd know him as belonging to her, thus giving him some protection.

What neither she nor Ranma knew was:

• another capsule was experiencing worse problems.
• that, in the near future, a blow to the head would cause the proud warrior to become a meek kitten.
• that a Vargr kill-squad was on its way.
• that Genma had yet another spectacularly bad idea occur to him.
• something else
