"As my contract owner and a doctor, she has the right to inspect me for the ability to perform my duties," said Ranma simply. "Yojimbo are not full-use."
"More's the pity," mumbled Minako.
Ami delicately reached out and brought a textbook down on her friend's head.
"Actually I agree, it is a pity," said Doctor Mizuno.
"MOTHER?!" squeaked Ami.
"Best to get your first sexual experiences in with someone well-equipped and skilled, dear," said the physician. "That way you can appreciate the experience and not necessarily fumble around the way I did in my youth."
"MOTHER?!" repeat-squeaked Ami.
"Wow, I wish my mother took such a view," remarked Minako.
Ranma rubbed his temples as if he was getting a headache. "That may be, and she is cute -"
Ami's blush went so immediately intense that she fainted on the spot.
"Well, that didn't go well," said Doctor Mizuno as two of her daughter's friends caught said daughter on her way to the floor. "Poor dear has to get over that if she wants to become a doctor."
"I can barely afford to keep solvent, I can't afford a slave myself," said Makoto. "Maybe we can... spar! Yeah, that's right, we can spar!"
"Nice cover," said Rei, helping Usagi move Ami to the couch.
"Now that that is over," said the Doctor, getting out her stethoscope. "Breathe."
The young girls watched the yojimbo being given a physical, Minako having to sit down after a full minute had passed. It took another moment or two before she realized she was sitting on Ami who came up spluttering because she couldn't breathe.
"Well, you're fit enough," said the doctor as she finished. "Now about those details of those yoma trying to buy your contract. We have a yojimbo down at the hospital, a Mister Umibozu."
"Umibozu? Big bald guy, wears sunglasses even at night?" Ranma asked. "Favors the More Firepower The Better philosophy? I thought he'd retired to run some cafe in another ward."
"He does seem to like big guns," said Doctor Mizuno. "Though I don't think he's compensating for anything. He's still working short-term contracts as I understand it, in order to bankroll his little restaurant. In any case, he pointed out that under typical contracts - you have to give the contract holder full disclosure of any situation that places the one you're guarding at risk."
Ranma nodded.
