It was a matter of a few split-seconds. Less than a tick of the clock. Wait too long and the energies dissipated to the point where it could have failed to accomplish the major tasks. Do it just right and it was still problematic, Usagi being a fourteen year old girl without a prior history wielding near-omnipotent power artifacts.
Do it too early and some of Beryl or Metal'la could influence the reformation of the timeline.
The timeline lurched into a new configuration, and there was a brief stream of profanity near the Gates Of Time.
