Genma and Ranma looked at the young-seeming girl that had appeared from the ring. "So let me get this straight," Genma intoned. "You are a special genie warrior, bound to that ring."
Saturn nodded.
"And now your bound to Ranma for the rest of his life."
Another nod.
Genma turned to Ranma. "So what are you waiting for, Boy! Wish for large pile of money!"
Before Ranma could yell at his father for telling him what to do with HIS friend, Saturn spoke. "Ummm... I can't do that..."
That got Genma's attention. "Huh?"
"Like I said, I'm a Genie Warrior, not a regular Genie. The Ten Genie Warriors exist to combat the forces of evil throughout the world... but no genie can pass judgment over things in the world of men. That is why we bond with humans - we guard their lives and souls, they judge if we should act, and guide our magic in battle. So I can't grant such petty wishes like for wealth or such. In fact, I don't grant wishes at all... perk of being a warrior. I just can't use my magic if I'm not protecting Ranma or fighting evil forces."
Genma seemed downcast, and Ranma was mildly disappointed. "So ya can't do anything?" Ranma asked.
"Ummm..." Saturn really didn't want to disappoint her master, but she couldn't use her magic for just anything. Then Ranma's stomach rumbled, and Saturn grinned. "Well, when you're hungry, I can do this..."
Waving her hands, Genma and Ranma found themselves looking at a veritable feast. They didn't recognize all the foods, but that didn't stop them from attacking the food like starving animals. Soon, both were sated, and any doubts Genma had about keeping the Genie girl had flown out the window.
Saturn was just happy that her master was happy and sated. She also wondered if she should tell them the rest... she could feel a dark presence coming... which meant the Genie Warriors and their Masters would inevitably have to gather...
Nah, that was still a few years off, yet. Let Ranma enjoy life while he can...
