Angela quickly discovered that Hotaru had some health problems, seemed very enthusiastic, and placed little emphasis on logic.
"I thought girls liked ice cream," complained Angela as Hotaru led them past a store.
"I don't care much for milk," said Hotaru, making a face.
"Ah, lactose intolerant," noted Angela.
Sailor Pluto watched in horror as Hotaru settled down at the theatre and explained the movie to a curious Angela.
Hotaru wasn't supposed to have friends. Synthetic or otherwise.
On the one hand, it was nice to see Hotaru smiling and leading her "big sister" through the city with an enthusiasm that Setsuna hadn't seen on the young girl before.
On the other hand, this was not supposed to happen.
"ARGHHHHH! RANMA SAOTOME! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" cried out the Sentinel Of Time.
"Waitaminute, she's an android?" said Ami, immediately flipping open her Mercury computer and scanning.
"That's a bit rude," pointed out Angela.
"I'm sorry," said the distracted Ami, reading the display.
"So he wants us to have back-up in fights?" asked Minako. On the one hand, relying on such would be bad. On the other hand, having that sort of thing when you needed it was priceless. "Well, pour syrup on me and call me breakfast - that's great!"
There were a few stares at the mental image that mangled phrase called up.
"What would we use back-up for?" asked Rei, eyeing the cute woman who was apparently Hotaru's "big sister" at this point.
"Crowd control," began Minako, ticking off points on her fingers. "Distraction, rescue operations - particularly if the enemy is holding hostages, help establish alibi for our presence elsewhere, do reconnaisance, act as guards..."
"Vehicle operation and support roles," added Angela.
"Hmmmm," hmmmed the rest of the Senshi as this idea penetrated.
Rei pictured someone sweeping the steps of her shrine and repairing that part where the roof leaked.
Usagi imagined someone using Rocket Punch to beat up some bully.
Ami pictured a game of chess that provided her a real challenge.
Makoto pictured having a training partner as strong as she was.
Minako dreamt of a shopping expedition with someone who could drive.
Hotaru just smiled at her big sister.
