Behind him four of the mechamorphed fighters touched down, their gunpods pointed at him and mentioning that it would be a good idea to move deeper into the hangar. The hangar was had several levels and each level was filled with fighters, bombers and other spaceplanes and Generi was willing to bet that any of the spaceplanes got its own hangar door for rapid deployment.
As he continued to look around he saw several open mobile suits with large fork like arms carrying containers, rockets, bombs and the like. He also could see that the rest of the squadron taxied towards their places on the third level of the hangar and noticed that they mechamorphed to get there, simply using giant stairs walking to their places and than mechamorhing back to plane. The casualty of that let him swallow again.
"Okay, buster," he could suddenly hear a surprisingly Zardon like voice calling through hidden speakers in the hangar walls," Get out of that Mobile Suit. And don't try anything funny."
Generi swallowed again as he saw the mechamorphed fighters around him raising their gunpods and breathed in deep. Some sort of wheeled ground vehicle raced towards his Mobild Suit and he saw two also surprisingly Zardon like men leave the vehicle. He turned his head and slowly punched a few buttons near him to activate the self destruction system of his Mobile Suit. He simply couldn't anyone allow to get it and maybe he was lucky and it's explosion would take out a good portion of this ship. Deep under him the fusion reactor of his Mobile Suit slowly worked it's way towards a meltdown by overpowering the cooling system.
Only than he opened the cockpit of his Mobile Suit and slowly peeled himself out of his seat. Only to have his butt cramp up. He grimaced and suddenly knew again, why he hated being on longrange Recon duty. His ass always cramped up first when he left the Mobile Suit.
Over the Hangar two men stood in front of a large window overlooking the hangar, while technicians and flight personal looked at their screens.
"He activated the self destruction system of his Mobile Suit," said one of the men.
"Don't they always?" asked the other man.
As Generi was led to the cart a panel over the mobile suit opened and a large robotic arm moved down from it, pointing its rodlike end at a unprotected part of the Suits back. The lance of a very thin but high powered Laser streaked forward and drilled a small hole into the Suits armor and penetrated the reactor as the cart with Generi had already left the hangar. As the Laser penetrated the reactor, a jet of plasma left the hole and melt some parts of the suit, but it was enough for the reactors safeties to react, other than the ones preventing a meltdown and shut down the reactor. This was one of the things EarthForce and Space Patrol had learned after the self destruction systems of pirate MS had damaged several ships.
"Works every time," the first man said.
"So we now go and play bad cop good cop, Mr. C?"
"No, Ding. I like scary cop bad cop more."
With that the two men left the hangar control room while technicians moved to take a few good looks at the Zardon Leo Mobile Suit.
