Even the largest installation in the Conglomerate was only half as long as this station. And the humans had three of this large station stationed at one position. And than there was the traffic hundreds of shuttles, freighters and military capital ships moved between these stations the planet beneath them, the large moon of the planet and a strange formation of four three kilometer long frames. A few readings of these frames showed that they created energy fields that bend and even penetrated the structure of the normal space-time to allow ships to enter a strange medium, seemingly a form of Faster Than Light travel the Salusians or any other race in the octant didn't know. It was the same form of FTL the pirate ship used to get away from them.
"Babylon Traffic Control to Shuttle S One, please prepare for docking procedure," the voice of a human operator come over the speakers in the shuttles cabin," We are now transferring docking procedures to you."
It was a bit strange for anyone to assign a label like 'S One' to a Salusian shuttle, but when in Rome...
"Roger that, Babylon Control."
Slowly the shuttle flew around the spherical front part of the station and towards the center of the rotating cylinder. Everyone in the shuttle could see the square of the docking facility and a small window on one side. Tremors went through the shuttle as thrusters fired to give it a spin to enter the docking facility without damaging the shuttle.
"Shuttle S One, please proceed to the VIP docking area."
Thrusters fired again and the shuttle moved into the station. Following the orders of the operator it proceeded to the indicated area. Scanners showed that there was an real artificial gravity outside, not the centrifugal gravity everyone assumed, so the contragrav systems had activated themselves. After a few moments the shuttle touched down in the indicated area, surrounded by yellow and black markings and a docking port moved towards the shuttle and locked with the surface of the shuttle over the its airlock.
Soandso and the guards breathed in deep and straightened their uniforms, while Arisal closed her eyes and wondered how the humans would react to them, since no one had thought about transforming to a human form after the encounter with the pirates. Slowly the airlock opened and one could see the long tube of the pocking port, ending a few meters away in another airlock. A red light over the lock changed to green and with a hiss it opened. The guards, in full battle armor, moved out of the airlock, looked around and stood in two rows on each side of the airlock, securing the area.
Soandso and Arisal looked at each other and breathed in deep, before moving towards the second airlock.

For the third time in ten minutes Captain Susana Langley straightened her dress uniform. She knew again why she hated this thing. It was scratching and uncomfortable. Especially with President Ryan standing next to her, complete with more than a dozen people of the Secret Service. Her ear flicked and she had to take every bit of self-control to prevent her tail from lashing from one side to the other in an impatient and nervous manner.
She was a catgirl, damnit. She simply wasn't made for waiting this long. The waiting and the nervousness, because of First Contact and the President, was enough to seriously crack her normally very controlled manner she had when she was on duty. She briefly wondered what her daughter would do in this situation. While Susana had decided to get a Metafication ten years ago to become an 'Anime catgirl', as the package was called, her daughter Asuka had gotten herself an 'Anime doggirl' package to her fourteenth birthday. It had to be that Ikari boy who got that into her head, the daughter of a catgirl becoming a doggirl.
She straightened her uniform again and practically locked up as the airlock opened and six guards in some sort of armor stormed out, securing the area. A short look to the side showed that President Ryan didn't seem to have a problem with that, but his bodyguards got very tense, she could smell it and see it.
After a few minutes wait two people stepped through the airlock and looked around. The two aliens happened to look like skunk-metas, but it was sure that they weren't, they simply didn't smell that way. One of them was Captain Soandso, strange name, and the other was a female. They walked towards her and the President and stopped between the last two guards.
The President smiled and his hand reached out.
"I am Jack Ryan, the President of Earth Alliance," he simply said friendly," Welcome to Babylon Five."
Captain Soandso blinked once and shook the Presidents hand.
"A pleasure, President Ryan" he said with a firm voice," I am Captain Soandso of the 'Salusia's Grace'. I wasn't aware that the head of the government would meet us."
The President smiled.
"It's a special event in recorded history, the First Contact with an alien species."
Captain Soandso glanced over to Susana and the President chuckled.
"Captain Soandso, Captain Susana Langley, commander of Babylon Five. She is human, but her appearance is a longer story that is part of the history of the last fifteen years."
The President looked over to the female and smiled.
"And who is your companion, Captain?"
The female breathed in deep, her tail moved a bit and Susana had to use all of her self-control to not simply bounce over to her, hug her and call her George.
"I am Princess Arisal of the Salusian Conglomerate," she said proudly and after she had said that, she began to practically ooze royalty.
The President smiled and did a short bow.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Princess."
There was a short pause.
"We have prepared a meeting room for us," the President said and mentioned to the airlock leading out of the room.
