"Hey, Yugi!"
Anzu cursed under her breath. Jounochi had once again, unknowingly, stopped her from asking Yugi out for a date. It was the first day in months following the Anubis Incident, the Doma battles, and the Kaiba Grand Prix where no one wanted to challenge Yugi over his God Cards; the perfect opportunity to ask him if he wanted to go back to the amusement park they had gone to what seemed like forever ago.
Yugi waved at Jounochi as his friend came running up to them. "What's up, Jonouchi?"
"Please tell me it's not another tournament," Anzu moaned. "I'm still getting over Battle City."
Jounochi held up a torn page from a magazine. "Not a tournament, but it's just as cool. It's a poll set up by Pegasus himself. The man's back in action, and he's coming back in a big way."
Anzu blinked. A poll wasn't as bad as a new tournament. "What kind of poll?"
"You know that several 80's trends and franchises are becoming popular again in America, right? Well Pegasus caught the 80's bug and he's gonna make a new line of Duel Monsters cards based on the results of this poll. There's five set options and one blank option for anyone who doesn't like the choices. Here, take a look!"
Yugi took the page from Jounochi and he and Anzu looked at it closely. The choices were Transformers, ThunderCats, Masters of the Universe, Voltron, and Robotix. Anzu then noticed something near the bottom of the ad, other than the cut-out ballot. "It says the winning voters get five free packs of the new cards."
"Oh yeah, ain't it cool? And there's only a five ballot limit per person. I'm using all five for one category."
A heavy frown was on Anzu's lips. It figures Jounochi would jump at the chance for free cards. After all, his deck was pretty weak. Effective, but weak. She thought Jounochi wanted another go at Seto Kaiba and his Blue-Eyes Dragons. Then she thought about Pegasus; it all could be some sort of trick or trap. She, among others, hadn't forgiven the creator of Duel Monsters for trying to steal Yugi's soul and Millenium Puzzle, and for what he put Grandpa Mutou, Mokuba, and Seto through. Well, maybe not Seto. "I don't know, guys. We shouldn't get involved if it has anything to do with Pegasus."
Yugi nodded. But, he looked at the options on the ballet again, and wondered what it would be like to have Optimus Prime or Skeletor in his deck. "...I'll ask Grandpa what he thinks. You mind if I keep this, Jounochi?"
"Sure, man. I already made extras with the school copier. They allow copies, too."

The door opened and the bell rang, making Sugoroku Mutou turn. "Welcome to my shop-. Oh, you're home, Yugi! And Anzu, always a pleasure having you here."
Yugi pulled out the advertisement from his pocket. "Grandpa, have you seen this?"
"Ah, I see you heard the news, too. Isn't it exciting?"
A large sweatdrop formed on the side of Anzu's face. Grandpa had obviously forgotten about having his soul trapped in a card by Pegasus. "You're going to participate, too?"
"Already sent my five votes in, all for Transformers. I always loved that show when it first came out, and even saw the movie three times. It was a shame they killed off most of the good characters, though. So, which will you vote for?"
Yugi gave a small shrug. "I'm not sure yet. I don't know a thing about these categories."
"Well, you'd best hurry, the deadline is noon tomorrow. Luckily, there's a website you can use to vote online for faster results. I'll show you both right now."
Anzu waved a hand. "I'll pass. The choices don't agree with me, and anything I write into the blank option probably wouldn't win anyway. Well, I guess I'll see you at school tomorrow, Yugi. Bye." Dammit! Another opportunity ruined. Well, there's always tomorrow.
"Well, stop by anytime. Oh, and before I forget, Professor and Rebecca Hawkins will be coming to visit for a week starting tomorrow.
At the mention of Rebecca, Anzu twitched, but did it so neither Yugi or Grandpa Mutou noticed. "How... lovely..." GODDAMMIT! Give me Seto Kaiba, Pegasus, even Yami Malik; anybody but that brat!

"Hey, Yugi."
Seto Kaiba ignored the fiery glare Anzu shot at him as he approached Yugi and his friends. "You heard about that poll Pegasus put up?"
"Yeah, I voted on the poll's website last night. Did you vote, too?"
"Actually, I did. It's a slim chance of getting new cards i could use to defeat you with, but I say it's a risk worth taking. Besides, Mokuba wouldn't shut up about it until I voted at least once."
Jounochi snorted. even after all they'd been through, Kaiba still wanted to beat Yugi at Duel Monsters. "Just give it up, Kaiba. You'll never beat Yugi, at least not in a legit way."
"If you're referring to the duel at Duelist Kingdom, believe me, I had no choice in the matter. My little brother's life was at stake. Besides, you're the one who inspired me to following my 'impossible' dream. After all, you won't give up until you've defeated me."
"At least I have fun when I play."
"CAN WE DISCUSS SOMETHING ELSE OTHER THAN THAT STUPID CARD GAME FOR ONCE?!"
Kaiba actually flinched at Anzu's shout. The girl was spitting flames from her mouth as she spoke. "Er, I just remembered, I promise Mokuba I'd take him out for milkshakes. Not to mention I still have a company to run. Later!"
Yugi and Jounochi never saw Kaiba walk so fast before. They never saw Anzu so angry before, either. Jounochi resisted asking Anzu if it was that time of the month for her, in fear for his life. Mental note: do NOT let Shizuka hang out much with Anzu from now on.
"Yugi darling!"
Anzu angrily turned to see Rebecca Hawkins rushing up to meet them. That's the last straw! She grabbed Yugi and pulled him by the arm as she broke into a run "Come on, we put off our date long enough!"
"Date?!"
