Pluto's Plague: Don't Fear The Reaper? [Episode 119583]

by Kestral

Genma Saotome knew exactly how much danger the woman before him posed. This woman had killed his native self, as well as the native Ranma, as well as a few BILLION other folk. She could use something like the Umisenken from what he'd seen on the camera, and was able to throw a chi blast.

That meant he was facing a formidable and insane martial artist. Unlike with Happosai, the Crouch Of The Wild Tiger would not mean much - this woman had no concept of mercy.

When he saw her about to shoot Ranma with that chi attack, he acted.

Martial arts, when you boiled it all down to the basics, was about smashing people and breaking things. Much like the principles behind an army or other military force, it was better to give than to receive serious hurt and property damage. Often the only way to prevent such problems was to either bribe the other, in which case you simply moved the problem to a later time, or you took the hurt/property damage to the offending party.

Genma proceeded to demonstrate upon what he took to be an enemy martial artist, exactly how bad it could get.

As Sailor Pluto came up, she shifted to Dark Pluto and got ready to throw an attack at the location of her target. Hmmm. Why was the little boy looking over her head?

WHAMM!

Genma slammed his full weight into a spinning drop-kick along the side of the woman's head, spinning her end over end and sending her towards the train.

Dark Pluto slammed into the side of the train and was just groaning and opening her eyes when she noticed the Genma Express was on time and arriving.

WHUDDD!

Tears tracked her face, eyes and mouth wide, as she felt her Senshi transformation reaching its defense limits from a chi-charged body slam.

Genma leapt back, wary. The woman was a martial artist. Those attacks had been sufficient that anyone short of the dreaded Master would be unconscious by now. Yet this woman was imbedded into the crumpled side of the train and still moving.

"DREAD STORM!" screamed Dark Pluto, using one of her advanced attacks. The darkness rose up and shredded the platform and train around her. If she was going to embrace the darkness for the sake of the light - she was at least going to have the satisfaction of KILLING THAT BOY!

"DEMON KING RETRIBUTION!" responded Genma, throwing vaccuum blades. This woman had some pretty impressive techniques. In order to hate the male gender this much, she must have studied under Happosai. He could sympathize, but she was clearly too far gone for reason.

Ranma was impressed. He never knew his Daddy was THAT impressive. "Pops, you been holding out on me - BIG TIME."

Now if he could just figure out how they were doing those.

Atsuko stared. "Tell me you're getting this."

Her camerman stared too, but was working the camera like a dedicated professional who sensed that his entire life might be noteworthy on the basis of what he was doing right now. "I see it, I'm getting this, we're sending it, but I ain't sure I'm believing it."

"Just keep getting it," said Atsuko, switching her mike back on. "We're witnessing the powers of these dimensional travelers at work. One a martial artist who seeks to protect his own son, the other the misandric Dark General who seeks to convert the world to some matriarchy of her choosing. Oh look, the military are trying to get in a clear shot."

"Wait till you have a clear shot, steady, steady now."

"I am steady," growled Lieutenant Mariko Ishiida, aiming her weapon. Her brother had been an idiot at times, a jerk on others, and occasionally her beloved sibling that she could always count on when she really needed him. She remembered seeing the wasted husk he'd turned into during the early progression of the Plague. Now, through divine providence, she had a chance to do something for all the sisters who'd had to bury their brothers and fathers.

There. A clean line between her and the target.

The gun spoke, causing the tripod to move despite the bracing that had hastily been assembled. The SABOT round struck a little off center, hitting the key-weapon instead of the chest behind it.

The Russian Snatchers, the Japanese Military Police (the offices in the process of merging due to lack of personnel), the newscasters, the two martial artists, and the Senshi from the Gate - all watched the smoke and debris briefly blossom from the point of impact and obscure the figure of Sailor Dark Pluto for the barest of seconds.

When the smoke cleared:
