"That little she-witch...."
Zelgadis came out of the church that they were holed up in.
"Still upset at Lina Inverse?"
Zolf took some calming breaths. "Yes. But, I have to stay here in case you need me."
Zelgadis shrugged. "Not at the moment. Just keep in contact. It will take Rezo some time to do research."
"Thank you," Zolf answered, beofre he left he hesitated. "Are you sure you won't need me."
Zelgadis gave an amused snort. "I'll be fine, Zolf. You be careful while dealing with Miss Inverse. She didn't get the nickname 'Natural Enemy of All who Live' for no reason."
"I'll be careful."
Zelgadis watched Zolf head out to confront Lina in person. He shook his head and gave a small laugh.
'I never thought I'd see the day when Rezo would look so disappointed. Almost worth not seeing the Philosopher's Stone,' Zelgadis thought. 'I wonder how things would have turned out if the Philosopher's Stone was really in the statue.'
Zelgadis shook his head once more and turned to go back into the church. Before he did, he saw that Rodimus was standing in the door.
"Letting Zolf go after that Lina girl?"
Zelgadis shrugged, "Why not? I've got nothing better for him to do. He'll keep in contact through the crystal ball, so I have no worries on that point."
"Lord Zelgadis, why don't we just tag along behind him? As you say, there's nothing better to do and I am getting bored," Rodimus said.
Zelgadis bent his head in thought. "Maybe you're right. I'll let Rezo know that we'll be doing something else, while he's stuck in research. Go on ahead, I'll catch up."
Rodimus nodded.
