PokeMoon: curtains of sugar [Episode 120424]

by Byooki Desu

Watching the red-head and her older brother interact reminded Bunny of her own family a little, sure her brother might have been a little brat but she still cared for him. Sighing Bunny tried to bury her homesickness before it could take a firm hold of her, she had set out on this journey to prove herself to prove to her brother Sammy and to her mom and dad that she wasn't some scatter-brained little girl. Her mind set she was clenching her right fist practically burning with determination.

"Well? What are you waiting for? If we're going we're going lets go!!" She told the Saotome children her voice full of newfound conviction. The two other children sweatdropped.

"But it's getting all dark and stuff really quick Bunny.." the boy told her as he started stuffing the little worm into a pokeball as if it was a real Pokemon. Leaning towards the boy Bunny raised an eyebrow.

"Don't tell me you are afraid of the dark?" She asked him in a conspiratorially voice, her eyes tiny slits. Truth be told she had been afraid of the dark herself when she was younger but this boy looked to be as old as her, then again her mom always told her that it took boys much longer to grow up.

"I'm not afraid of nuthin'!" The boy yelled into her ear making her fall onto her butt. "I'm just saying sis is tired and all.. 'sides you could fall into a pit or somethin' when traveling by night."

Rubbing her backside Bunny frowned up at the boy and the cheerful little red-head that was holding onto one of her brothers legs and smiling. "You don't have to shout you know? It's just all my gear is gone and I got nothing to sleep in."

Picking up the two backpacks and carrying them with him the boy didn't offer her a hand to help her up as he walked past her, his little sister skipping along around him in little circles. "Don't see the problem.. you can always share our tent."

Scrambling to her feet she patted her hands over her clothes to remove some of the dust before hurrying after the two siblings. Share their tent? was he serious? "Wait Ranma, lets talk about this okay??"

Pushing through a large thicket of RedRum Honeysuckle-bushes that see had seen the two Ranmas enter, she dug her way through the infernal vegetation shrubbery in an attempt to catch up with them. Finally clearing the the thicket she stared in surprise at the already raised tent she found waiting for her there. Close by there was a small brook and right outside the tent a black pot was hanging above dead campfire.

"Don't forget too brush you're teeth, 'kay sis?" she heard the boy tell his sister as she watched him hand the little girl a toothbrush with some toothpaste on it. The little girl nodded vigorously as she accepted the toothbrush before taking off in a spurt towards the small stream.

"You had your tent up already??" She deadpanned giving the ponytailed boy an incredulous look. "Then why were you carrying your backpacks with you??"

Scratching his head the boy gave her an embarrassed look before answering her. "Well you see it builds up your stamina and stuff.. "

"You're weird!" she told him truthfully, before continuing "Anyway I .. umm thanks .. you know for letting me stay and all."

"No biggy," the boy mumbled as he shrugged his shoulders looking more abashed then ever. It was weird really, she had known him for less than half an hour yet already she felt almost as if she had known him her entire life, him and his adorable little sister. Speaking of which, said little girl seemed more inclined to twirl her toothbrush around in the small stream than actually brushing her teeth, something Bunny couldn't help but notice as she glanced in the girl's direction. Turning her head to stare at the girl as she started to really splash in the water and getting water all over herself Bunny smirked as she saw the girl's brother scamper away towards his sister while lecturing the girl in a loud tone about not getting wet all the time.

"Well.. umm I'll just make myself comfortable then.. okay?" Bunny mumbled before removing her shoes and crawling into the tent. The interior of the tent was the same dark green as the outside of it had been making it twice as dark as it had been outside and very difficult to see much of anything. She had been on sleepovers before and she felt as if she had known the two Ranmas forever so the only thing she was a little concerned about was the fact that one of those Ranmas was a boy. Would he snore like her brother Sammy did?

As her eyes slowly adjusting to the darkness she thanked the Kami as she was able to make out the silhouettes of not two but three sleeping-bags. Quickly undressing and leaving her clad only in her underwear she slipped into one of the sleeping-bags in the knick of time as the two Saotome siblings came crawling in through the tent-flaps.

"You bathed with your clothes on big brother!!" the little girl got out between giggles making Bunny grin.

"It's not funny sis." the ponytailed boy grumbled as he leaned out of the tent to wring some water out of his gi. "It's not funny at all."

"Yes it is!" The little five year old girl laughed causing Bunny to erupt in a fit of giggles herself. The boy just sighed.
