Zor's Bet - Liberty Station: Doctor Robinson General Kowen is Lost in Space. [Episode 120588]

by DeputyJones

"Grooooooooaaan..." Damn that hurt like a sonuva bitch! Feels like a Battle Pod clogg danced on my forehead.

With that insightful thought, Brigadier-General Jonathan Kowen picked himself up off the floor of the command center. Scanning the rest of the CC it was obvious to the African that everyone else was in a similar situation, either picking themselves off the floor or righting themselves from drapping over consoles.

"What the hell happened?" he asked noone in particular.

Nevertheless one of the sensor technicians responded, "Unknown sir. Sensors registered a Fold and then..."

"We woke up on the floor," Kowen finished.

The tech nodded. He glanced at his console, then frowned. "This can't be right. Private Madison! Put our surrounding space on Viewer-2!"

"Iei, sir."

The image of planet appeared on one of the six 50 inch viewers in the CC. Kowen gasped. Chatter started around the room.

"We changed position? How?!"

"Is that Earth?"

"Can't be! There's too much green!"

"She's right. The Rain left a lot more desert area than that."

"There's also the fact that no Invid are attacking us."

That shook Kowen out of his stare. Still, the sight of an unravaged Earth after so long... He shook his head again to clear it. Now was a time to be professional. The General stood up to his full height and assumed a level of authority worthy of his original commander, the then Captain Gloval.

"Lt. Cmmd. Bates! Contact Green Squadron and have them prepare for a recon flight. I want to know everything we can about where we are. Bring out one of the old Cat's Eye Recons if you have to. Just find out how THAT-" he pointed at the screen "-can be the Earth!"

The summoned officer nodded. "Yes, Sir."

********************************************************************

On the bridge of the Prometheus, there was a bit of a panic. It was painfully obvious that the large... object was too large to not be seen on the Earth.

Jack, of course, was just sitting in the "Big Chair", trying to think of what this meant for the secrecy of the Stargate program. It wasn't like they could cover THIS up. It was also a concern of whether or not the huge thing in front the ship was a threat to planet.

His ponderings were cut short when the same tech from before called for his attention.

"Sir! I'm reading unidentified incomming aircraft! Seven bogies."

He could say only one thing.

"Wonderful.."
