Makentos smiled as he looked after his spy. He had brought him good news. Very good news.
The Asgard hadn't been seen anywhere in the galaxy over the last few month since the defeat of Anubis by the hands of those thirth damned Ta'uri. There seemed to be some sort of problem in their home galaxy that had caused the Asgard to pull away their fleet from this galaxy for help. He didn't knew what problem, but he didn't care. But he did care that the Ta'uri were basically without any protection by the Asgard. And that weapon of the Ancients also seemed to be out of the game.
And that would be the point where he would come into the game. He had taken Anubis as a example, at least to a certain degree, and let his scientist develop new, better weapons. Now he had ten Ha'tak Motherships, modified to house the more powerful weapons and more powerful shields. And a single Aph'tak Mothership, four times as large as the Ha'taks, a ship like Aphopis had used before the Ta'uri had defeated him, again.
He would attack the Ta'uri home world and take it over, maybe destroy a good portion of it. And this time no Asgard or Ancient weapons would prevent the assault. His assault. He would get more power when he showed that it was him who defeated the Ta'uri. Him and no one else.
A loud laugh went through the corridors of his ship and it jumped into hyperspace and towards the Ta'uri home world.

Langrage Point, Earth Moon gravitational system
Six VF-4 Vindicator and a lone ES-11D Cat's Eye had left Liberty Station just a a few minutes ago and now the Cat's Eye had picked up a contact.
"Liberty Control, this is Retailer Zero One. We are picking up an unidentified contact. Designated Romeo One. Distance one thousand clicks. Bearing 123 Mark 043."
"Roger that, Zero One. You are cleared to intercept Contact Romeo One for identification. Do not engage. I repeat, do not engage."
"Affirmative Control. Intercepting Romeo One."
The six Vindicators and the Cat's Eye turned towards Romeo One as if they were one, but going into a formation that was good for defensive purposes.
A few minutes later they passed Romeo One and turned around to fly another pass.
"Liberty Control, this is Green Leader. Do you get the DataNet video feed?"
"Affirmative, Green One."
"It doesn't fit anything I've ever seen."
"Affirmative. Romeo One doesn't appear in any of the warbooks."
The contact the Cat's Eye Retailer Zero One had called Romeo One seemed to be around the size of a Banshee class Destroyer or two thirds of a Battle-class cruiser. It had two rather large engines on its stern and seemed to lack any more modern energy weapons. Green One could identify maybe 10 older projectile based CIWS placements and ten missile tubes in the forward and backward firing arc. On the side of the ship were a few white paintings. A few were Latin letters forming the word 'USS Prometheus' and its ID-number 'X-303'. Beneath the structure that seemed to be the bridge, where the white paintings of several pyramids and a larger number of crescent shapes.
On Liberety Station, Kewen looked onto the screen intensely.
USS Prometheus, he thought, If that is Earth and that is a ship from Earth, USS would mean United States Ship. But the United States never build space ships for themselves. Not even a spaceship with the name 'Prometheus'. What the hell is going on here?
