Spliced Senshi: And the Rest (LIME) [Episode 122054]

by Red Priest of the 17th Order

Laying atop of the pillow on his ‘owner’s’ bed, the white Moon-cat Artemis, raised an eyebrow as he watched the blonde take a severely cracked piggy-bank that had tape in several spots off the top shelf. “Minako,” Artemis spoke up. “What are you doing?”

“Counting my savings...” The blonde answered as she placed the piggy-bank on her desk and then applied good old Mr. Hammer. “Let’s see... Four-hundred, six hundred, one-thousand...” She kept counting off, until her face-faulted forward onto her desk. “Shiiiiiiiit... Not enough.”

At Minako’s whining, Artemis rolled his eyes. "Well, you DID buy that X-Box recently.”

“It’s not my fault Sony didn’t make Halo 2, nor do I have a PC that can play it!” She whined, looking at said new game console settled between her PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube. “Why couldn’t they make one game system with all the cool games...” She mumbled as she hung her head in defeat and flopped back into her chair. “Damnit! At this rate, it’ll take me a week and a half to get the extra seven-hundred and eighty Yen to cover the cost.”

“Your own fault,” Artemis said. The white Moon-cat yawn and padded around on her pillow. “It’s not my fault you have an addiction for videogames.”

Looking at her ‘pet’, Minako pouted, “That and FFXI is so addicting and so’s Halo...” She grumbled. “There’s gotta be a way to get a discount for Splicing.” She grabbed the pamphlet she got acquired from the Splicing Center from the corner of her desk and looked through it.

“Minako,” Artemis grumbled. “You can wait, can’t you?” He asked. “I mean, it’s only another week or so. You can play your videogames in the meantime.” He raised his head and said, “Or do something productive. Like get a job.”

“But if I get a job that cuts down on game time and guy-hunting!“ She retorted. “Hmm damn... Eh?” Minako mumbled as she spotted something. “If customers are strapped for cash but don’t want to wait, there are alternatives to payments and measures of discounts...” She began reading aloud. Suddenly, she looked at Artemis with a VERY evil Cheshire-cat grin.

Artemis noticed the blonde hair smiling rather evilly at him. “Minako... What are you thinking?” He asked nervously as he started to get back onto all fours.

“It says here that if you use your own pet’s DNA, they’ll give you a one-thousand Yen discount,” Minako said seriously.

Artemis looked at Minako oddly. “But you don’t have a...” The Moon-cat’s eyes widened. “Oh! OH NO!” He said as he started to back away. “You’re not getting me to lend my DNA!” He shouted.

Minako grinned and then lunged forward out of her chair, grabbing the cat in a bear hug, literally crushing him against her breasts. “Resistance is futile Artemis...” She replied in an eerie tone.

“NO!” Artemis cried as he struggled between the blonde’s breasts. “I HATE NEEDLES!”

Minako smirked, she hugged the cat into her chest more. “Oooh Artemis...” She cooed in a sultry voice.

“What!?” Artemis shouted as he still struggled, his little kitty arms waving about.

“If you let them stick you, I’ll make it worth your wile,” Minako said mysteriously.

Raising an eyebrow, Artemis said, “Please. There’s nothing you have that I want.”

“Uh-huh, how about if you let them borrow a tiny smidge of your DNA, I’ll not only slip you some of that Kobe steak into your food that you like, but...” Minako grinned. “I'll also let you sleep using my ‘pillows’, especially since they’ll be nice and furry after the Splicing.”

The Moon-cat began to calm down. “The steak is good,” Artemis said with hesitant admittance. “But how is Splicing going to make your pillows... Furry...” His eyes widened as his mind caught up to what Minako was saying.

The Moon-cat had an internal battle.

Safety?

Or furry pillows?

Safety?

Or furry pillows?

...

No contest.

Minako, smirked. “Well?”

“I’m going to regret this,” Artemis mumbled. “But all right...” He looked at her seriously. “But you better be sleeping without a bra.”

“How about I even throw in licking privileges as an added bonus?” She smirked, sweetening the deal.

Artemis’s eyes widened. “SOLD!”

“You, my dear Artemis, made a smart deal. The pamphlet says they’ve made it so you won’t feel anything.” She said, petting him as she loosened her crushing-hold.

Artemis dropped to the floor. “Somehow, I doubt that.” He shook his body a little. “But at least I get licking privileges after this.”

At the Tsukino residence, Usagi Tsukino was looking at Splicing catalog showing off various females with Splicings; combos and the like. “Hmm... What should I get?”

“Hmm?” Luna asked as she saw Usagi actually reading something outside of a manga for once. “Get what?”

“Trying to decide what look would be good for me if I got Spliced.” Usagi replied nonchalantly.

“Oh, really Usagi,” Luna said as she sat up on her haunches. “You’re not really thinking of getting made into an animal person, are you?”

Usagi looked up from the catalog. “Well why not the others are planning too.”

Luna raised an eyebrow. “What others?”

“Well, Umino and Naru want to, and Minako talked about going too,” Usagi replied. “And some other people at school.”

“I think Makoto and Ami-chan are interested, but I dunno,” Usagi said. “Rei’s said nothing and not sure if any of the other Senshi wanna.”

Luna raised an eyebrow. “Makoto, Ami, and Rei? Probably not. They have good heads on their shoulders. Now, Minako?” The black-furred Moon-cat shook her head. “I hope Artemis will at least keep her out of trouble.”

Usagi snickered. “Knowing Mina-chan, she’ll work him over.”

The black Moon-cat lowered her head in defeat. “You’re right,” Luna grumbled irritably.

“What do you have against Splicing, Luna?” Usagi asked curiously. “It’s awesome! And it’s helped alotta people with disabilities.”

Luna nodded. “I have nothing against it,” She said seriously. “But as your advisor, I think it unwise for you to get Spliced,” She said in a very serious tone, although not a reprimanding one.

Usagi looked at the cat seriously as well. “Why’s that, Luna? Would it affect our ability to transform or something?”

“No, not that,” Luna said. “But you’re destined to become the ruler of Crystal Tokyo. Do you really want to descend to a throne as a Furry?”

Usagi opened her mouth...

“And besides,” Luna continued before Usagi could get a word in edge-wise...

Usagi face-palmed.

...“How do you think people will react to a Spliced Sailor Moon?” She asked. “Many people are already very worried and paranoid about Splicers and the whole concept of Splicing in general.”

“Maybe that would be a GOOD thing...” Usagi said. “Cuz, if Sailor Moon is Spliced, then it can’t be bad right?” She smiled.

Luna rolled her eyes. “I wouldn’t be too sure about that, but if anything, I know those H-Doujinshi artists would love it.” She shook her head. What was it with people’s fetish with the Senshi?

Usagi blanched. “Oh Kami-sama, I still can’t believed there was that one perv that drew me and Chibi-Moon with that tentacle Youma. I mean... Besides, she’s a kid, she’s MY future kid for Kami-sama’s sake and... Ew, eww, ewww!!” She shivered.

“Well, they probably don’t know the true relationship between you and Chibi-usa...” Luna trailed off and blinked her eyes. “And what are YOU doing reading that stuff?”

“I didn’t! Umino showed it to me and Naru in class!” Usagi exclaimed. She liked Manga, but not that hentai bullshit!

Luna raised an eyebrow. “And why would he be stupid enough to show a boy’s pervert manga to two women?”

“Cuz we caught him with it and made him cough up what it was.” The blonde deadpanned. “Although we wish we didn’t after we saw the pages he showed us,” She gagged.

Luna nodded. “Makes sense.” She jumped off from the bed and padded over towards her advisee. "Now, Usagi. I want you to spend time thinking about this. I don't want you just rushing into this. Please promise me you'll consider all facets of Splicing BEFORE you decide to go through with it or not.”

Usagi sighed, and picked up the cat, putting her in her lap, and began to pet her. “Oh, alright Luna. I promise, I’ll look into this thoroughly before jumping for it.”

“Thank you, Usagi,” Luna said seriously. She smirked and said, “Now, put down the pamphlet and finish your homework.”

“Luuunaaaaaaa...” Usagi whined.

Dr. Michi Mizuno was walking about her home, dressed, coffee in hand, and getting ready to leave for a recently scheduled and rather important meeting. She walked over to her daughter, who was working on a computer, and was about to tell her ‘goodbye’...

...When she noticed the content her daughter was looking at. “Splicing, Ami?”

Ami ‘eep’ed and turned her in chair, adjusting her glasses that had nearly fallen off in her scare. “Um, er... Well yes...” She mumbled as she stalled for time to make an answer. “I was looking it up as a... Research topic. Yes... A research topic!” Ami said with a nervous chuckle as she thought, “No chance in hell she’s buying that.”

The Doctor looked at her daughter with an incredulous stare. No. She wasn’t buying it. Placing her coffee down on the desk, Sailor Mercury’s mother asked, “So, Ami. What brought this up?” She asked, genuinely curious.

Ami sighed and slumped her shoulders. “...Promise you won’t laugh?”

“I won’t,” Dr. Mizuno told her daughter.

Ami took a breath. “...I’m... A Furry-fan. And besides, the fascination of gaining animal qualities I can fulfill a dream of being a Furry.” She shut her eyes, expecting bellowing laughter.

“You’re a Furry Fan?” Dr. Mizuno asked in surprise, before finally relaxing. “Oh, thank Kami-sama. I was beginning to think you had no interests outside of studying.”

Ami opened an eyebrow. “You’re relieved?” She asked curiously “Well,” Ami thought, “I guess besides school, my interests aren’t much save for Furry-fandom... And my Senshi duties and secret hentai doujinshi collection, but the latter two Mom doesn’t need to know about.”

“Yes, I am.” Dr. Mizuno said. She smiled a little. “You know, Ami, Splicing is what the topic of today's meeting is at the hospital.”

“Oh? Is it about accepting it as a medical practice? I’ve heard some hospital flat out rejected the notion on account it would put doctor’s out of business,” Ami said.

“No, we’re not talking about using Splicing for healing,” Dr. Michi said. “The topic will be about treating patients who HAVE gotten splicing. Their physiology, while still mostly human, has some differences that need to be addressed.”

“Oh, I didn’t think of that,” Ami admitted. “I hear more of the hospitals rejecting it as a treatment than anything else on the news,” She said with a bit of sadness.

“True,” Dr. Michi Mizuno said. “It shows promise, but...” She shrugged her shoulders. “There are many colleagues of mine who feel threatened by it, and don’t want to hear a thing about it. Although NOW they’ll have to.”

“Mom?” Ami spoke up.

Smiling, the older woman asked, “Yes, Ami?”

“If it’s all right,” The girl was hesitant. “Could I go to this meeting as an observer?”

Blinking her eyes once, twice, thrice, the older blue-haired woman thought about it. “Well, I shouldn’t bring others, but I think I can get you in to sit down on this,” She said after a moment. She smiled a little. “How about we make a deal, Ami?

Looking at her mother, Ami asked, “What kind of deal?” She was very excited about seeing what Tokyo’s stance on Splicing was from a medical perspective.

Smirking, Dr. Mizuno said, “I’ll take you with me if you promise to clean your closet. I swear, you have so much dirty manga, it’s a surprise you don’t have a boyfriend.”

All Ami could do was go into an atomic blush at hearing that. “Looks like she did know,” She thought glumly.
