The problem was, that without Ranma Saotome, or at least the same soul, to face various challenges, there was going to be a hell of a lot of chaos to come. Especially in the form of Saffron, whom would run rampant if not given a severe checking by said Ranma.
However, the wizard had not thought so short-sightedly. He was at times guilty of acting as a monkey's paw, giving what was essentially a poisoned gift that would ruin one's life, but in general he wasn't all that bad. Most of the time his schemes ran toward magical items that were actually rather minor if used properly, or else turning his monkey's paw on evil doers to teach them a lesson.
He already had a plan in place to take care of the problem of one Ranma Saotome's continued existence. Well...not necessarily Ranma SAOTOME...but...at least the heroic soul would remain.
So it was that, as Ryouga and Ranma were sharing a Love Cup, and starting to cuddle close like a couple that had been together for a long time, that one Kuno Tatewaki appeared.
It should be noted that the former chocolate temptation was still in evidence in Ranma, who now looked about half-japanese, with, if the red-hair could be taken as evidence, a little ainu or other caucausian thrown in.
Still, she was easily recognizeable to the delusional kenodist, who had no idea that his main purpose was merely to preserve the existence of this timeline's needed hero while a nearly fallen soul (Genma Saotome) was renewed and given a second chance at life.
"Pig-tailed girl!" Kuno cried out. "I have come to free you from the teacherous Saotome!!"
"Man," Ranma sighed, touching her forehead in a rather feminine manner. "NOW of all times?"
"Hey I got him if you want," Ryouga said.
"That's fine Ryo-chan," Ranma said. "He's my mess."
"Who is this monster that accosts thee here, oh flower of virtue?" Kuno demanded.
"The flower of virtue is long gone," Ranma quipped as she stood up to face Kuno. "Whatchya up to now, Kuno?"
"The flower of..." Kuno gasped. "Then I have come too late and the demon sorcerer has already defiled thee and handed thee to his minions."
"Hey," Ryouga shouted, standing up. "I'm nobody's minion!"
"I got 'em," Ranma said coaxing away a headache and gesturing Ryouga to sit down.
"A rival warlock then," Kuno shouted. "Someone with debauchery to overmaster Ranma Saotome, who at least never took thy maidenly charms away."
"Yeah," Ranma said. "Whatever. Time to say goodbye now." Ranma got ready to send her unwanted paramour to the moon, but Kuno wasn't finished.
"I must hope that this fine item can truly overwhelm these evil influences over thee!" Kuno declared. And at that moment he whipped out his hand.
"What is...gulp?" Ranma blinked as the pill went down her throught and began its work...
