Unfortunately, when she'd looked up, she saw the monkey holding the window open, and climbing into the room, heading directly for her. It was rather ungainly indoors, but it didn't have to be agile for what it was doing. She wasn't able to go anywhere, and it knew it.
The monkey seemed to be rather pleased with her situation, and did a little dance over her cage. The creature had the audacity to lord over her, and even made a show of looking to see where she'd try to run. Then, in an exaggerated expression of realisation, it made like it had just noticed that she'd been stuck in a cage.
Abandoning all pretense, it jabbed at her cage, and made it seem to be toying with her. Acting like it was superior, it even stood proud and tall over her. And then it hit the cage to taunt her.
Unfortunately for the monkey, that act knocked over the cage and made it land hard on its side, popping the lock. Quickly realising what had happened, Nabiki scurried up and out of the opening, not wanting to spend a moment in there more than she had to. Once she was out, she saw the monkey recover from its surprise, and pushed the cage over to smack into it as it came after her.
That stunned it for a moment, and she dashed over to the side, making certain to keep her distance as she didn't want to get grabbed. It actually worked better than she had hoped, as the monkey had to come after her. However, it was used to flying after her, and tried to do so.
Nabiki only had to duck, so that the monkey went over her, and slammed into Azusa's closet. The crash seemed to have knocked the monkey out, and she pushed the closet door closed as best she could. And once she was sure that she'd put as many obstacles as she could in front of it, she raced over to the window that the monkey had so politely left open for her, and bounced out, climbing down the side of the house as best she could.
