It was Ryu's turn to blink. "Why does he need to be destroyed to save anyone?" the boy asked, scratching the back of his head in confusion.
"Why shouldn't he be destroyed?" Ranma all but yelled, before visibly taking measures to calm herself.
Off to the side, Usagi frowned at the thought of destroying someone, who was apparently human, and not of the squishy-splattery kind. "I don't think it's right," she ventured, a distant memory tugging at her mind. "All humans are to be protected, even really icky ones who deserve to be smashed into toothpaste for inflicting their horrors on innocent virgin eyes."
Kurumi and the two Natsume stared at her unblinkingly.
"Besides," Usagi continued, blissfully unaware of the attention, "I'm certain Meso Kamen-sama would disapprove!"
"He might be a... formiddable fighter," Ranma said, not wanting to hurt a girl easily driven to tears... and fits of rage which included ripping manholes out of the ground and throwing them like frisbies. "But the needs of many outweigh his opinion." Flinching, she added, "And boy, do the many need Genma gone!"
"What's he to you, anyway?" Ryu cut in, peering at Ranma curiously. "What did the Werebane do to you -- hell, who are you, Bargain Bin Girl?" He posed for added effect, putting on what he believed to be quite a charming smile.
"Saotome Ranma," she replied with a sigh, missing the wink sent her way. "Genma's my father."
"Get out of here!" Ryu exclaimed, pushing Ranma on her shoulder.
The red-head frowned. "No, he really is my father. That's why I'm very much needing to destroy him right now, actually. It's not that new. I've been getting those urges for years, really, but they usually passed when I got something to eat. Then again," she mused, her eyes distant, "Pop was never quite so evil before. Smite-worthy. I'm sure you understand, what with your own vendetta and everything."
"...right."
Taking the initiative then, Usagi waved her hand to get the boy's attention. "Hi! I'm Usagi, or so I'm told. We haven't met, though I'm feeling pretty close to you right now, what with the clothes and everything! So, what's your name?"
Before Ryu could respond, however, Kurumi's cry of, "Augh! Not again, Original Big Sisters!" interrupted him. He gaped, not unlike a fish out of water, and--
