"What's gonna happen to me now? I just wanted this for the weekend!"
"I was coming in to reverse this. I was only doing it to impress my girlfriend; she still dumped me, though."
"Eurgh. Another day like this... I'm just better off not drinking." This voice attracted the attention of a menagerie of curious girls and a mother of one of them.
The speaker was a tall and rather irate lop-eared white rabbit Splice. The group of women watched as the gentleman shook his head and turned around. To the Senshi and their advisors, all outside influence stopped, as they recognised the person under the fur. The male Splicer froze, as the sight of so many female predators staring him down caused an instinctive reaction in his lapine self.
Reality restarted, as a snorting erupted from behind Setsuna's hastily raised hands. Everyone spared her a quick glance before letting their gazes returning to their original targets.
This Mexican standoff held until Usagi began to act like her pre-Spliced self. With a squeal of "Mamo-chan!" the Kitty Hawk Splice jumped into the air and snapped out her wings to glide at her love through the ages.
Before he could react, the poor bunny-man was gripped by strong black cat-girl arms and surrounded by large black wings.
The now giggling pride of defenders of the planets and the smirking female doctor were listening to the sputtering, tuxedo wearing Rabbit of Earth.
"Three days ago, I was at a stag party for one of my classmates," he finally muttered. "We were all hammered and decided to get Splices to celebrate." Momentarily, he managed to grin. "He ended up appropriate for the rest of the party."
Amongst the giggling, he noticed Setsuna giving him a full grin. For a moment, he shivered; the feeling he got was one that the Spliced genes he had taken on were very familiar with: he was being looked at with the thought of weither or not the viewer was deciding to use condiments. After a moment, he shook it off and looked around at the others.
"I was so 'faced," he continued after the break, "that it was all a blur before the next morning, when I felt a pain in my tali. Seems that one of my 'pals' decided to tie a ribbon to it." He grimaced as the younger girls all giggled and the two women hid their grins. "Laugh it up," he moaned. "I didn't want you to see me like this."
Usagi scritched him at the base of his ears, causing him to pause. The winged cat-girl started to purr sub-audibly as she consoled him. "But Mamo-chan," she growled playfully, "you're just soooo tasty looking."
The assembled group seperated slightly, as a certain blue and black-furred dominatrix-in-training began to chuckle softly.
A short while later, the muche more sudued group stumbled across some members of the destroyed clinic. The girls were about to intrude, when they heard Dr. Mera walk up.
"Well children," the doctor sighed, "I hope that you are comfortable with your current selves."
Dennis let his shoulders drop. "They can't find the freezer, can they?" he moaned. The older man shook his head. "They cannot," he confirmed. "As you know, my process does not just place a second DNA pattern over the original; if we do not have those samples, it will be next to impossible to reverse any of this. Anyone Spliced will remain like this for the rest of their lives."
At that moment, the investigating officer approached the head of Splicing, Inc. The uniformed man shook his head. "If you will, sir," he managed to get out, "we have a survailance tape to show you."
"It was destroyed," he interrupted.
The officer simply nodded. "By someone who appears to be a Sailor Senshi," the man added. "Primary identification seems to indicate it was the one known as 'Sailor Uranus'."
The hidden Senshi just shared a look.....
