“I can’t believe it worked,” spoke Ranma Saotome. He was currently in a small park near a primary school. After Ryoga ran off, he decided not to go back to class. His mind was preoccupied by the fact a technique frequently used in his dreams worked. Part of him wanted to proclaim that he was such a great martial artist that even in his sleep, he thought of new techniques, but he knew that wasn’t the case. He didn’t really think about new techniques while awake, so he couldn’t really claim that he did it ‘even in his dreams’.
“Yen for your thoughts?” Sitting on the same bench as Ranma was a woman with dark skin and immaculate long emerald hair. He hadn’t notice her approach or even sit down, so he was wary of her.
“I ain’t got much ta’ say.”
“Come now, surely you can speak better than that?”
“What makes you think so?”
“Call it hunch,” she said with an air of laughter in her voice. “I go by Setsuna Meou.”
“Ranma Saotome.”
“Ranma Saotome? The painter,” she asked.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he lied. He had done a painting for art in secondary school. His teacher thought it was high quality work but to him it was incomplete. There was something missing that he couldn’t identify.
“Oh,” she seemed genuially sad at his answer. “I must go now; we will speak later Fei’s Kim.” Ranma turned to woman in shock but she was nowhere to be seen, leaving him only more confused.
