Legend of the 10 Rings: Oh where, oh where, can the little senshi be? [Episode 1252]

Saturn’s little hand suddenly tightened around chibi-Ranma’s. The girl looked at her boy friend … *blush* … er, her friend who just happened to be a cute boy … *twitch* … never mind that now! The genie looked at her master and said: “Ranma, I think I can sense *two* more genie rings near by.”

“Really?” he asked with interest He’d never had a friend like Genie Saturn before. True she wasn’t into martial arts like Uchan was, but that was just because Uchan was a boy and she was a girl … or a genie or something. Still, Saturn was nice, cute, fun to be around and stuff. If he found the other rings, maybe he could have two more girl friends … er, genies … whatever.

“Yes,” Saturn nodded as she concentrated. “The feeling is coming from over that way.” She tugged on his hand as she hurried off towards the source. Her little girl heart was all twisted up with confused emotions. She’d like to keep Ranma all to herself, but she’d also like to see her friends again and she had to make sure the other warrior genies hadn’t fallen into the wrong hands. They couldn’t fall under the control of evil masters, of course, but that didn’t protect them from stupid ones. ... or perverted ones.

She shuddered to think what would happen if she’d been bound to serve and protect Genma instead of his son. That would be almost as bad as when she’d been forced to serve the old pervert. Fortunately her old master might have been a lecherous pervert but he had a soft spot for children (in a good way; which had earned him enough mystic brownie points to use her ring for a while) and he had never asked if she could make herself older. That could have been bad!

Ranma almost ran her down when she pulled up suddenly. “Oh!” she squealed and pointed. “The rings are over there!” Ranma looked and saw that she was pointing towards:

• an old woman with a hopping staff who was berating a young boy wearing glasses while a purple haired girl was making faces at him behind her back.
• a man in a Hawaiian shirt who was reading a travel brochure while his two children climbed into the alligator pen. Oh, no! Those poor alligators!
• a tearful man, his sickly wife and three daughters. “Don’t worry, Kimiko. We’ll find the genie of death and healing in time to save you.”
• a sideshow gypsy-fortuneteller’s tent. The red-haired woman peered into her crystal ball and said, “let me tell you future, Dearie. You are not going to have one unless you give me that ring!”
• the Gambling King was running a shell game. “Guess which shell the pea is under and win a ring!” He gestured to the shelf of rings behind him.
• “… there? Are you sure they’re in there?” Ranma asked and his little face paled.
