Ranma's Wish: Slight Of Hand [Episode 126535]

by Kender

Groaning slightly, Ukyo put a hand to her face and rubbed her palm over her features. Tiredness still lurked there, and as she came awake, she could feel them seem to want to stay still. There was a bit of a throbbing behind her eyes which definately wasn't what she'd ever experienced from waking up, even when she'd been accidentally knocked out.

In an attempt to figure out what had caused that sort of problem, she cast her mind back over what she'd been doing. She'd come in search of her fiance, and discovered a group of rather powerful beings. But they were definately not demons, so she'd held her peace as she hadn't been sure what the exact protocol was in such a situation. However, the hostess had said that she wanted them to party, so she'd joined in, even going so far as to get a drink...

A realisation hit her and she sat up with a groan. Obviously the drink had something extra in it. Humans were always spiking the punch, and apparently gods were doing it too. Then again, she did realise that there were a lot of things that gods ate and drank that weren't exactly good for mortals.

That was the sort of thing that a demon hunter should know, but she'd conviently forgotten that such things could happen. Not that she thought that anyone would really blame her, what with the current situation, but she couldn't quite let herself off the hook. Years of training should have taught her to at least ask what foods she could eat without winding up passed out.

Of course, when this had all started, she hadn't thought that she would end up in this sort of embarrassment. After all, she'd been dedicated to her family's Art, wanting to become the latest in the clan's line of ninja demon hunters. But one day a little boy came to learn what he could of her family's style, and she'd been sure that she'd found her childhood sweetheart. This was the boy for her, and she'd been pleased when she'd heard that they were to be married.

Then he'd disappeared, and she'd felt abandoned. She had thrown herself into her training, becoming one of the, if not the, best in her Art. Nobody could beat her, and she'd been sure that she'd been past being the little left girl.

And then she'd gone to Tokyo to do a minor extermination, and wound up meeting up with her old 'friend'. They'd fought, he'd won, and she'd discovered that he hadn't liked leaving his 'buddy'. He hadn't known about the engagement, and had simply thought that they were supposed to part at that time. When asked, he'd explained why he thought that way, and her eyes had narrowed.

If she hadn't already disliked Genma Saotome from what she'd remembered of him, she'd have hated him.

As it was, she'd been happy to have her fiance back. Sure there were some obstacles, and problems, but she was sure that she'd be able to surmount them. That was simply what she'd thought would eventually happen.

But he'd wound up getting himself engaged to Amaterasu, and got dragged off there. She had followed, drank, and was now waking up after passing out.

Of course, she didn't know that a group of western pixies had just done a major makeover with her. She also wasn't aware that the memories that she'd gone over were their work, as they couldn't quite change the past with the ease that a major god or goddess could. And she didn't know that she was under a series of compulsions.

So it was rather understandable that she was wondering if she should change out of her demonslaying outfit and into a nice skirt while:
