Ranma stared at Ku Lohn without expression. "You and your laws hounded me across China, " taking a small step to one side, away from his family. "You attempted to enslave me on numerous occasions, treating me as nothing more than breeding stock." Another step. "Now you act outside of the law and directly threaten my family." A third step took him to the clear area close to the door, and he tensed. "The warrior in question has relinquished her claim, yet you still seek to kidnap my children."
A pause, and he relaxed. "You have stated your terms, slaves or death. Will you yield?"
Ku Lohn had noticed his movement and had likewise positioned herself. "You are bluffing, Ranma." He was near the door, ready to use the Saotome Final Attack. She was ready to strike if he attacked, and had planned out a quick shiatsu strike on Rikku. She had felt the power in that ball. Better to render her unconsious until her loyalties could be changed. "You cannot run forever."
Ranma looked almost sad, perhaps disappointed in the Matriarch. "You know I used to like you, just a little bit. No matter what you did, I always learned something new." He grinned, "Remember the watermellon race?"
Ku Lohn remembered, and smiled. "It..."
And Ranma blurred.
"...was..." She looked down at Ranma's hand, imbedded within her chest. She attempted to look at his face but her head was so heavy...
"I didn't lose that fight, either."
