A whirlwind erupted around Dark Schneider as she called forth her eldrich power. Geo, on the other hand, was still in a whining wreck because Dark Schneider had somehow used his beloved daughter's flesh as the vessel for his unholy rebirth. Dark Scheider was one to take advantage of her opponent's weaknesses, and savored her final victory against this priest.
*BAMPH!*
A puff of smoke puffed out before Dark Schneider, surprising her and bringing her short of dealing massive punishment on Geo. Out of the rapidly dissipating smoke appeared a Super-Deformed Youko with a little pitchfork, little bat-wings, little pointy eyeteeth, a little pointy tail and a little pair of pointy antennae coming out her head. (Somewhat like Devil-Excel of Excel Saga, Episode 1!)
"Stop, Dark Schneider!" squeaked daemon-Youko, waving her little pitchfork impotently at the boggled Dark Schneider's face. "You're me! Well, half me, anyway! I would never do something like this!"
Dark Schneider's face twitched, eyes still glowing as she glared at the little imp that fluttered its little tiny wings to hover in front of her. The whirlwind still fluttered her clothes and hair as she addressed this little piece of herself. "The high priest is my enemy!" she growled, "He must not be allowed to live! Especially not when his idiot daughter so thoroughly screwed up my reincarnation!" She paused. "I can't do anything about you now, but I can do something about your father."
With an elegant, half-gloved hand, she made a tight fist. "Slaughtering your father is the first step to my conquest of the world! HOOO-HOHOHOHOHO!!!" she announced, her peal of feminine lady-high-born-twit laugh filled the hall.
"NO! OTOUSAMA, PLEASE DEFEND YOURSELF!!" squealed the little imp.
That seemed to bring Geo out of his stupor, enough to draw into a defensive stance. "uuuooOOOHH!! I'm ready for you, Dark Schneider!"
Dark Schneider's eyes glowed red once more with her ebbil power. "Slayerd, slayerd, dark thunder of Balmor!" chanted the dark sorceress. Then, almost finished with the spell, she growled, "DIE, OLD MAN!"
Geo's response was to chant his own spell. "Ele-Ele-Namu-Meilin! Holy spirit, become our shield and protect us!"
"BAL VOLT!" barked Dark Schneider.
"STRIVER!" countered Geo.
Hellish lightning crackled around Dark Schneider, gathering in intensity, until finally, it lashed out with an intense explosion of electronic fury. It traveled at ridiculous speeds at Geo, only to stop scant feet from the high priest by an invisible shell around him. The thunderous lightning crashed, made a lot of noise, but did not do Geo any harm at all.
Dark Schneider tsked in annoyance. The priests cheered with elation.
And Youko?
"Nyah, nyah! Otousama rules; Dark Schneider drools!" the daemon-Youko jeered, slapping her butt at the fuming Dark Schneider.
"Shut up, you little twit!" snapped Dark Schneider. "Very clever, High Priest Geo Noto Soto. You can cast an anti-magic barrier."
"Those who follow the divine presence are also granted its protection!" lectured the high priest from behind his barrier. "Your evil spells cannot fell me. You and your black magic have no power against it, Dark Schneider."
Dark Schneider countered, "But that also means none of your spells would get through, either. That leaves only hand-to-hand combat. But, Soto, weren't you also...?"
A series of flaming kanji exploded into view:
Endless Endurance!
120th-Dan Divine Steel Fists!
"Er... why are the priests in the background holding up wooden signs and lighting them with Zippos?" asked Dark Schneider.
"The Author wanted to use that joke again..." answered Geo matter-of-factly.
"Bad Author!" chastised the Youko-imp.
(The Author slinks away, rightfully embarrassed.)
"Anyway..." continued Geo, who was not only a priest, but also a monk, getting back into the flow of the story, "your cause is lost, Dark Schneider. Without your reagents, you cannot cast your most powerful spells."
