Only to stop as a moment of realization hit her. Sure this would get rid of him, but she'd not only kill him but likely herself at the same time. Even during the mutiny she'd stayed with only confining the men. But it was right to thrash him, wasn't it? "What the hell am I doing?"
Through his view screen, Ranma saw the girl's stance go limp, as her head began to shake. She started to back up, seeming in confusion only to trip on the foot of another mech. Tripping, she began panicking a bit befrore slamming into the leg of the unit.
Which set off the launcher.
Using his finely honed dodging skills, he managed to get out of the way as a part of a wall exploded from the impact. The their was an ominous creaking as metal buckled and tore. Gas from the explosion was ripped from the room followed by anything not tied down. Like tools, equipment ... and a certain Dread pilot.
Barnette clutched at the Vanguard that she had tripped over even as her body began to float. Her legs pulled flailed about as she tried desperately to save herself from certain death. It was almost ironic in a way. She had gone wanting to kill him, and she had done it to herself.
So, this was how it was to end. Not in battle, but sucked out into space by her own stupidity. She could picture Jura at the moment as she... was caught by the Man's Vanguard?! Grasped by the large metal hand, she was carried over to the door and shoved through before it closed. As she lay there, trying to catch her breath, she looked up to see Gascogne glaring down at her.
"Looks like you made it out," the Register chief said flatly.
"Well... I... um..," the Dread pilot panted.
"I don't think that he'll be in any trouble though. Of course, he won't be able to get out of his unit until we get the hanger fixed."
"Um..."
"But I'm sure that the Boss will want to talk to you."
The younger woman's head hung while:
